We could easily have spent a full week in the north west of Madeira alone, but we got a good impression of the area in just the one day that we had. And what a day it was!
We explore everything from riding down cliffs in questionable cable cars to swimming in natural pools formed by lava, and end the day at Madeira’s indigenous laurel forest, recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site! Few places have made us feel as we did that evening in the laurel forest.
– 📍 PLACES WE VISITED –
• Caravela restaurant, São Vicente
• B&b Solar da Bica, São Vicente
• Achadas da Cruz cable car
• Porto Moniz natural pools
• Seixal volcanic beach
• Las Caraibas restaurant
• Fanal forest
