Hey Everyone,
Headed up to Porto to check out one more gym “The North Wall” great new gym, very clean! But it only made me hungry for some real rock so we went on a search south towards Lisbon.
Climbing is dangerous, climbing without gear only increases that danger. Soloing (climbing without gear) requires many many years of experience. You have to really know the rock, your limits and how to down climb out of a situation. And even then something dumb can happened (rock fall, or braking a hold) and you can get a life changing injury or die. I would never recommend anyone solos anything. Keep things boulder height if you forget your rope. Climb horizontally to get a good work out in, no need to risk life or limb for glory.

Million ants!
When were you out there? I got back a week ago. We stayed in sintra, it was a nightmare around there in a car. The day I went to walk to the bouldering the gnr had blocked the road and closed the forest due to fire risk. After there we went to silves on the south coast. I found some sandstone boulders that hadn't been climbed on. Lovely place and would go again.
