We Live in Portugal | Will Our Family Like Visiting Us?

Hey Expats and Travelers! It’s Josh and Kalie from ExpatsEverywhere here! Today we’re heading back out to the Douro Valley, this time in May. We’ll be visiting some wineries in Douro Valley, Portugal to drink some Port and other wine. Wine and cheese tastings, long rides, beautiful nature, quality time with family, and more are in this Douro Valley tour vlog. Our family has never done this. Will they like it? If you’re living in Portugal or planning to visit, the Douro Valley is a must-see!

  1. Red vinho verde is definitely an acquired taste, but I’m weird so I took an immediate liking to it! It goes well with very fat, meaty dishes, because the excessive tangyness evens out all of that unctuousness.

  2. Always fency food for ridiculous prices and you still with hungry. The real Portuguese food is in the real and tradicional restaurants and with very good wines too. Douro is a paradise, good choice to show to your family.

  3. Lovely preview of some wineries. Not a big fan of wines so the one that could use a Venn diagram is more my style for a summation. Seeing as how I wouldn't tour very many.
I have heard that about gluten sensitivity before, I'm not sure how it's possible yet. But I would love to brag about it more in my attempt to get more people on board to go there.

  4. You guys look like you had fun. I'm headed back there (Porto and Braga) in April.😁 Oh my goodness! I had the best rissoto dinner at my hotel in Lisbon the last time I was in Portugal. They know how to make their stuff.
