In October of 2004 we moved into a ruin in the middle of a forest in Central Portugal. Back in the UK we had both worked office jobs, but out here that counted for nothing. We had a basic set up, but it was time to get our hands dirty or we would be living in the caravan forever.

But where do you even start when your hands are more used to typing emails than swinging sledgehammers……?
