  1. Nazare is on my list to visit when we return next year. 10 euro per day for the tent is reasonable and it is a good size. Lee and Gaz went swimming, was the water warm? The market food and seafood prices are reasonable. I am still learning about Portuguese fish. The couple in the restaurant described this channel perfectly! I really like that you have a label of your name and Frugal Travellers. Mandy’s beautiful Mom and Gaz look like they had a great time. I hope Lee has arrived in Britain safely. I am looking forward to seeing more videos of Portugal. 🙏🏽

  2. “Like” number 100 👍🏻 and I didn’t plan it either. 😅

    Wow—what a difference a few months make!!
I never saw an ashtray for use on the beach! Nice to rent a tent for a day too. Great ideas!
Never saw anyone selling donuts and clapping either. 🤷

I remember those statues in Setubal too! Thanks for pointing them out.
    Love those farmer markets.

Thanks for educating me and sharing your summertime experience in Nazaré!
    Cheers.

  3. Johnny and Louise were simply confirmng what so many of us think of you and your channel.
You stand head and shoulders above most travel vloggers and, without argument, at the top of the heap when it comes to showing us Portugal.
We look forward to your adventure to the Middle East but please don't take too long to return to Portugal.
    Ter uma viagem segura!

  4. Hello Amigos, lovely walk about. I was there in the winter… vastly different! Great idea with those ashtrays!! If you love sand, Nazaré has it by the truck loads! It’s bloody cold here right now, this was very welcome! xo

  5. Hi Lee and Mandy! I am a long time viewer but first time commenter (as you may already know :)). Another great video with lots of helpful tips. Eagerly awaiting your return to Portugal next year!

  6. Love love love Nazare! Thank you so much for sharing. Defo have the Brazilian restaurant on my radar, and hope to buy some of that fresh fish to eat. So want to try those barnacles, but not sure about cooking them.
Crowded or not, still my favourite place in Portugal.

  7. That 'street calling' thing the beach vender was doing… that used to be very common in the UK from market stall holders. In fact, there's a scene in 'Oliver' based on it – 'Who will buy my beatuiful roses'. We think the calls started just as calls, but gradually, with repetition and time, evolved melodically.

  8. Hello Mandy/Lee, what a lovely day out in Nazaré. Portugal (as many other places) really changes during the peak season.
I like both, the quiet of off-season and when it's packed.
YouTube videos and low-cost airlines have done so much for Portugal and the tourism industry.

That Nazaré mercado has a massive choice of sea food / fish.
I would buy everything if I could as I'd happy to ditch meat for a fish diet.

I presume Lee is gone, or soon gone.
Is Mandy staying another week? Then heading to NZ?

Anyway, thanks for the videos in Portugal, looking forward for the next chapter. Wishing you a lovely weekend / safe flight 😎

  9. Tamboril – Monkfish
Excellent in a seafood rice, sometimes with other seafood mixed and other times by itself!
A bit more expensive in Restaurants but one portion usually serves a minimum of 2 people with good size stomachs!😋😋
