  1. Croatia has implemented a generation switch since the last world cup, with the exceptions of Modric and Perisic who are still playing at a very high level. As long as their starting centre backs aren't Lovren and Vida, they should have their defensive line pretty sorted out. I think they comfortably win their group ahead of Belgium the real aging squad

  2. Denmark is not a dark horse. To be a dark horse you must be an unknown quantity. The strengths of Denmark are quite wellknown and Denmark is a serious contender, though obviously not a favorite at the level of Brazil. But certainly among the largest favorites from Europe.

  3. How come we continue to underestimate Denmark? They have a great defence, good, hardworking midfielders + a special talent in Eriksen & a lot of options up front (mostly talented young players). They also seem to have the best chemistry from all the nation teams.

  4. I wouldn't underestimate Uruguay either. Yes they just lost Araujo but they are still very dangerous. When you see Valverde, Nunez and Suarez sprinting towards your goal you don't feel all that comfortable.

  5. There’s one team that no one takes about but could be the surprise of this World Cup: drum rolls, Canada! Yes you heard me right CANADA! solid team, a striker who scores and a world class left back and a few other very underrated players. Again, do not sleep on them!
