  1. Bravo Matteo, I'm currently living in Toronto, I'm of Portuguese decent myself AND a filmmaker ASWELL. Originally born in Angola, I haven't been back in Lisboa for about 30 years. I hear it's cheap and beautiful. Amazing that you are taking the plunge. Best of luck, sir.

  2. If you plan on coming to Spain I'd love to help in any shooting if you need to Matteo! I'm a young cinematographer from the north of Spain 🙂 Good luck in your new adventure in Lisbon

  3. As a European there’s no other place in the world id rather be. Nowhere else on the planet can you find this level of diversity in landscapes, culture, architecture, mentality in such a dense, relatively small piece of this planet. In Central Europe you drive 5 hours in any direction and a different language is being spoken. And especially in these days with easyJet and Airbnb… I was flying to London for a feature film last December and the flight was 35€ from Berlin. what a time and place to be alive and be living.

  4. I'm actually doing a small photography job in Lisbon on Saturday but I'm going to stay until Thursday 14th to walk and take shots for myself. Bringing my Pentax K1000 and some 35mm film just to enjoy capturing the city.
Would love to meet some other filmmakers, and grab a coffee!

  5. Congrats Matteo……Im in Tampa and you are so right not to much to film here anymore. I was gonna go and copy your St Pete video to see how well I do. Atleast I can use yours as template and see if do anything wrong. Looking forward to some Europe videos.

  6. Thanks for sharing, so glad to see you're all settled in and your local area and town looks really nice! I would love to spend even 6 months or 1 year living in Europe, there's so much stunning scenery to film and the history, mountain regions and old towns are just the best to wander through. Hope it all goes really well for you!

  7. I think this move is perfect for you Matteo!

I am leaving my home country of New Zealand to move to Europe in 2 months, no idea where yet and never been to Europe before. Travelling around for 5 months and going to pick our favorite spot at the end to go back and live.

Might see you when we come to portugal!

  8. Hey Matteo, Creatively speaking I think the move is perfect! You should be doing more European style films imo. The culture, the aesthetics and beauty of things like wine, pasta, fashion and European architecture are already themes of your channel and work. I wish you’d do something Rohmer esque, something Romantic and European. European Cinema >>> Hollywood. Even the Hollywood masters agree!

  9. Fantastic. You know, a year or so ago, after watching some of your videos from Europe, I asked you why on earth you moved from Europe to the US. You never answered, but now I see you were simply taking the time to ponder that question. HaHa. Congratulations Matteo. Looking forward to a lot more images and news from Lisbon. Way to go.
