I feel roasted in the USA i feel accomplishing someone else dream all the time . working 7 days a week become the norm because of how long i maintain the 7 days a week for 9 years straight. I'm not stressed but I was tired of doing nothing in BF Arkansas. I'm already retired and I will be in Manila tonight around 5:00.

I want everyone to live the life they choose, one with as much happiness and fulfillment as possible, but I do regard a life of no or little work with a deep suspicion. As long as one is willing to accept the consequences (good and bad) of one’s choices, then that’s cool. But some people drop out of the “rat race” and end up being unwilling or unable to deal with the financial hardships of such a decision.

I love your shared information. I would love to start a YouTube travel channel but right now I’m trying to figure out how to do it. I believe I will work another year then by then I hopefully will have figured out my schedule for my, every 6 month post breast cancer checkup for the next 5 years. I also own a condo which is paid off which I would intend to keep while continuing to visit the doctor every 6 months.

Dan, my wife and I are in Guadalajara right now. We downloaded your Guadalajara Retire Cheap report and just ate breakfast at Kamilos333 and the food was great and very affordable – exactly how you described. We are staying five blocks away. We will continue on the Ajijic/Chapala next week. Then in January, onto Panama for a month. We really appreciate your guides and travel tips. We are living it now. Thanks from another Bay Area native.

Wow, kinda the same pattern here. Still on the US do to last remaining elderly parent. Then it will be slow travel as I know what that means and have traveled more than most. Will keep watching for inspiration and learning in the meantime. All the best for the holidays and New Year!!

Thanks for telling us the truth. I quite my job as a medical practitioner last 2 years after 10 years in the field. It was not an easy decision. But in life we all know one thing and that it is too short to dread going to work every day. Friends am not saying you should quit your job, no amount of money can buy happiness you just got to be wise 🙂. This channel is one of the best I have ever seen so far, you're awesome. 😘

Hi Dan, I can really relate to how our economy crashed in 2008. I had already obtained my 1st degree and then I graduated with my 2nd degree in 2005. I had found my DREAM JOB until 2008 when I was layed off and in the process, eventually lost my home. I was totally devastated. I continued working, but it was never what I wanted to do. I told myself this can't be all that life has to offer. So now I'm at the point of preparing to leave America in 2023 to see how the rest of the WORLD lives. I've always been adventurous, so this is the perfect time to live out my dreams. ✈️

So much of what you’ve said I’m going through right now! Oh look my 401k has tanked! Oh yay we’re reducing our entire staff by 25% so now in your 50s and expensive go find a job.

I am beginning a full life reboot, transitioning to SE Asia and having to answer every question along the way! It’s scary, it’s exciting!
