Inflation is worldwide so that's really not interesting. But for nearly all other reasons I totally understand if people want to leave America

Prices are rising here in Europe too, the US is not alone.
EDIT: Last time I checked, way more people are coming to the US, than people leaving. Don't worry, the US will not run out of people. I think it was about three times more incoming, than outgoing.

as a southern european northern europe is waaaaay better for work. but if u want just to retire or smartorking yeah i would recommend spain or portugal too. but if u want to move normally to start a new life northern europe is way better, way higher quality of life, way higher salaries, way lower unemployement, way lower crime etc (switzerland, norway, luxembourg) but if u want a cheaper place than those but with still all the quality i would recommend germany

prices in the biggest cities in portugal for housing mostly thou for food etc also has increased is becoming unbeareble for the portuguese ppl due to the amount of foreigners willing to pay way more than we would so more and more natives are moving to the outskirt of big cities and my guess is that there either will be a big crash in real estate so that we can afford to live in those places soon or ppl like me will be moving to smaller towns further away wich will crash the economy of the big cities…. we'll see how it goes

I'm in Melbourne, my sister is a land lord and when they started with their current tenant the pandemic had just hit. They gave a single parent family the place for a low price and agreed they would look at it in 6 months. When that time was up my sister was happy to lock the price in long term knowing the family had it hard during the pandemic. Her tenant was so scared when the agent rang they would lose their home that they wouldn't take their calls. My sister actually went to the house to tell the tenant about the offer and they were willing to compromise more if it meant a family had a home. The tenant was shocked, they had lost every place they had ever been due to huge rent increases. They agreed on the spot. They are great tenants and take care of the place. Chasing a few extra dollars isn't worth the grief.

They aren't moving. Just taking a trip to buy bread.
