Thank you for the videos. Your delivery style reminds me of one of my favorite narrators, David McCullough. I will be visiting the mainland and Madeira next January. Question – has “island fever” ever been an issue for you, or does the availability and convenience of short trips to the mainland (by distance) eliminate that?
I'm so excited to watch more. What will Christmas time be like in Madeira? Did you consider Portugal and Lisbon or have you always wanted to live on an island? Are you seeking a Golden Visa…which fortunately, still includes the Madeira area. It seems that many project Madeira will be a solid property investment moving forward. Do you feel your treated as a tourist there? So many questions…. Looking forward to watching more videos!!

I hope you'll include information about the company you used, the cost, and the timeline. Wife and I are big fans. I'm on the tail end of 3 weeks in north and centro PT doing some scouting. Thanks to your vids Madeira is now on our short list for next trip. Are you guys thinking of living in Funchal proper or considering other parts of the island? If you explore other areas of Madeira maybe you can post some videos of those places too. I have watched several of your videos and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I like the slower, calming voice with which you narrate your videos, and, of course, the scenery is great. You have shared an important message here and one that is in the back of my mind constantly, as we enter into our 40’s and our kids are growing up. We also wish to take on the adventure of moving countries again (we are Honduran expats in the US), and Portugal is at the top of our list.
Lovely views.! I’ve got PT residency & my husband is entitled to family reunification ( D6) . But he’s not ready to retire and can’t easily work in PT from / for the UK due to Brexit. . Any suggestions on who might help with this dilemma? The beaurocracy involved with most things are very challenging. Is your son working as a digital nomad? Leslie seems to have resolved the work dilemma, which is great. TIA.
