  1. It's time to leave the US. Another school shooting killing 19 students (10 Year old babies) and two teachers. Enough is enough. I'm a retiree and have been saying I'm need to retire in a different country.
I'll find your link to enroll in your moving to Portugal course.
    I'll be in touch soon.

  2. I'm looking and researching Portugal and Amsterdam. I'm tired of all the hate racism and gun violence. I just have to make it for 4 to 5 years and I'm out. Investing, investing, investing. Lord willing, I will hit my mark and I'm through.

  3. I agree if you want a better life is best to leave America. It's getting to the point where you don't even feel safe sending your kids to school. we have gunmen going to school shooting up 20 kids and think about it when you lose your children you become the mad Men now you want revenge. and it's a never-ending story of back and forth it is time for me to leave because I can't live nowhere my children can't be safe they are my purpose and I have to keep him safe.

  4. Thank you for doing this, I've felt so lost. I've been wanting to travel internationally and leave since 2018 but I had lost my job and then decided to stay for a relationship. Then covid happened. I've been thinking about buying a home but I'm not liking any areas in the US to settle.

  5. Excellent Video Brother. I was overseas in the military and my mother was terrified. I told her I was more afraid for her in the US, than I was in Turkey. Plus, in America, everyone runs the risk of bankrupcy for medical bills. 😮

  6. Loose campaign finance regulations (campaigns should not have any financing, especially from private parties or non-voting corporations) helped fuel the US political quagmire. The 2016 election planted the seed for our USA escape plan. January 6 increased the urgency, as it was a warning sign that things are spiraling out of control with no guardrails. We moved to Portugal a month ago on D7 retirement visa and don’t plan to ever live in the US again. News events over the past 2 weeks add confirmation to our decision.

  7. The current situation in the country is really disturbing, I am confused if i should sell or hold on to my stocks. please i need your honest suggestions on what to do to avoid losses.

  8. As a Black American woman, I can’t wait to escape this place! This country is terrible for black women, terrible to establish a family in, and terrible to raise black children in. Even though this has been our reality for centuries, you can see things are getting worse day by day. Currently working on my exit plan to get the hell out of here!

  9. When you do a rational cost benefit analysis of living in us vs. living abroad there is no real comparison. If you have Netflix watch “Old Enough!” Which is a program that makes Amon’s point about Japan, where children that are 3-4 years old are sent on errands on their own and it’s the norm, in the US if you sent a toddler on an errand your children would be taken away from you. In the Netherlands, parents leave their babies outside in their strollers to nap. And it’s safe!! I am moving outside of us for cost of living, safety, health care access, adventure and overall enjoyment and peace of mind.

  10. Since u have moved away from Japan would u now mind sharing what city u lived in? Specifically the city that was about 40 minutes outside Tokyo? You did a little walk around the neighborhood and showed your place. Thx u

  11. I found you guys for this very reason. I was researching how to get to Portugal. I’m literally binge watching and hanging on to your every words but I’m still in debt I feel helpless right now

  12. I have been thinking I would love to move to Portugal, but I’m 74 year old woman & would be doing it all on my own. Not speaking the language & without any connections, do you think it would be too hard?

  13. But how to move? Do you have a video on ways to move and gain residency? Have read its usually possible but only if you make a lot of money and can show you won’t be a burden in the new country.

  14. Great video as always @our rich journey! You guys are an inspiration. I agree 100% I'm from California working as a freelance copywriter. I've been in Mexico the last 4 months and am strongly considering getting temporary residency and moving to Puerto Vallarta Mexico

  15. Thank you both for your many videos! Your comments are always reasonable, logical and informative. We have traveled around the world, but have never lived abroad. However, I think we both see ourselves doing so in the near future. Portugal is at the top of our list as we loved it when we were there on vacation and because my wife's family heritage is rooted in Portugal. Thanks again for the insight!

  16. When I was in grad school I studied and interned abroad and I did not want to return to the US. Now I'm newly married and my husband and I are working towards FIRE so we can leave the US and raise our children (when we have them) some place else. I've always had concerns about raising children in the US, particularly if I have a son but as more time passes the more determined I am to leave the US.

  17. All great points! But, I can’t imagine leaving my 20-something sons behind and missing out on my future grandchildren. Plus my parents are getting older and they aren’t in the best health. I work in health care with the elderly and see how hard it is when the children live in a different state….let alone a different country. I think that I will commit to taking longer vacations overseas (I’ve only been to Mexican so far about 17 years ago 😬).

  18. All I can say is THANK YOU for doing this video. I've been dreaming of leaving forever. I keep telling my family I feel a strong need to leave. Again, thank you because you are right there is an entire world out there to explore. We are not limited to one place anymore. Your videos are such a blessing to me. Keep up the good work.

  19. Do you know of any English speaking hospitals in Portugal? I am a occupational therapist and looking to move to Europe next year. And for my profession in the healthcare, I know speaking the language will play a part!

  20. Great video, and very informative. My wife and I have been traveling around for about two years now and we continue to learn and grow exponentially. I recommend this to anyone who is yearning for a better quality of life. Freeing yourself is much easier than you may think it can be. Just figure how you are going to do it and make sure to get your passports ready and go!
