Some of you may have heard of OpenAI / ChatGPT, an AI model/chatbot that may be one of the most advanced created to date. I was curious as a test to see how much reliable information it could actually offer someone; specifically in this case to see if it would be able to come up with some good reasons why you should move to Portugal. Moving to Portugal is something that I know is on many people’s minds and may be interested to hear about some of the positives of what living in Portugal has to offer. As an expat in Portugal, I wanted to see what this AI had to say and give some of my own pointers about what it generated. So in this living abroad expat podcast episode of Not Your Average Globetrotter, I asked AI about Portugal… and I do have to admit, I’m both impressed and disturbed by what this AI was able to output…

Nice tree, love the decorations. Enjoy spending time with your family and friends. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas to you. Like the tree.
Happy holiday & Merry Cristhmas Rafael.
Thanks Rafael for the content you’ve produce on this channel. Love your PT/IT comparisons and, of course, whatever you have to say about food! 😊 Those panettone decorations on the tree truly show where your heart lies—you’re a good man! Also appreciate your comment on Port wine. We had a similar experience in Fall 2022. 20-year old Port wine is definitely better than the younger versions. I can’t imagine what the 30+ year old kind must have been like. 🍷
IA content appears to be include very introductory material. Useful for those just starting to consider PT. My guess is AI content will only get better and more detailed with time. Maybe I’ll try a very specific question just to see what it tells me. 🤔
All the best to you in 2023. 👍🏻
boas festas….
Just a thought… did this AI just get a monthly subscription for International Living – retiring in Portugal, then copy n paste? I'm not expecting this AI to conquer humans anytime soon. 🤣🤣🤣
Portugal is the new hot place to be in Europe. You hear about Portugal here in France too, excellent place for retirees with small pensions etc.
France went through this a couple of decades ago. When I moved to Paris in 1990, even the ordinary working person could afford to buy an appartment in Paris, those days are long gone. The thing here is if there is a TGV Train connected to the City or will be connected to the City you can be sure real estate prices will sky rocket.
