Brent and Michael (of the blog Brent and Michael Are Going Places – have been nomads for 6+ years. Their nomadic life has taken them around the world…Europe, Asia, Central and South America.
They travel slowly and take their time to meet locals, photograph all there is to see, and discover regional food.
Many of the countries of Eastern (and Central) Europe are favorites of theirs. Because we don’t see many travel videos from these locations, we want to share their experiences. The good and the not-so-good.
We’re talking about North Macedonia, Georgia(the country, of course), Serbia, Hungary, the Czech Republic/Czechia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Armenia, and Romania.
I’ve asked both of them to respond to comments and questions so please ask below!

About us…we are Tim and Amy and we retired early (in our 40s) after reducing our expenses by $6,500 a month. Most surprising isn’t what we’re missing…it’s how wonderful and rich our life is with our lower spending. We like to share what we’re doing and learning here on our channel.
Please check out our other videos. They cover house sitting, award travel/travel hacking, and our early retirement/FIRE (financially independent, retired early). And, of course, travel! Lots of our videos show the fun stuff we do on a budget around the world.

Wishing you both a Merry Christmas.
Great information. So interesting!
Great insights. Another friend loved bansko but said they were having issues with stray dogs all over the town. Did you find that?
Cool video, sorry I missed the live chat. If you need suggestions for the future, we'd be happy to talk about the Philippines.
Thanks Brett and Michael for all of your insight.
Holy cow, can you believe 2022 is almost done??? I cannot. The first 10 months were fabulous. The last 2, terrible. Tim and I are looking forward to getting back on track with our nomadic fabulousness at 11:30PM on New Year's Even when we arrive at our San Miguel de Allende, Mexico hotel. That gets us into our original plans and we head to SE Asia in early January.
But, this video isn't about any of that. Our friends Brent and Michael at https://www.brentandmichaelaregoingplaces.com offered to share their insight into their travels throughout Eastern Europe. They've visited a whole lot of countries so there's a lot to cover.
We had a hard time with the audio and it gets better and worse so please try to stick with it…I cleaned it up as best as I could. Tech issues and nomadic living are like PB&J, amiright???
Wishing all a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah and an amazing 2023!
Hugs,
Amy
