Have you ever thought about moving to Portugal? WAIT! There have been some visa changes that you need to be aware of. Many people have been moving to Portugal on the D7 visa. It used to be that this was for active and passive income but now things have changed. Portugal has a visa now for remote workers and digital nomads so this means if you have active income, you now need to apply for this visa. See the differences in this video to figure out which one you qualify for.

Take the course! It helped me so much ❤
Amazing job guys !
I just got approved for my D7 visa through DC, and thank God I did! I don't meet the financial requirements for the remote worker visa. And I just heard that DC just stopped taking mail-ins. So I don't know how I got this lucky, but I'm definitely playing the lottery tonight. 🙂
So glad I'm a single retired person with no children. 🤣 Thanks for the info.
Hey!! I have been watching your videos for a little over a year and have made the move to Portugal around two months ago and settling nicely. We did the D2 visa which is working nicely, similar to D7.
So I earn passive income well above the required amount. Same with active income, but my active income is not from a company, but on my own. Also is there any difference based on the "1 year lease agreement" contingency? I think that 1 year apartment lease is the most annoying step to doing the D7 visa. It worries me I would lease a place I don't like the location of, or quality of the place I'm living without giving it a good look through.
Fantastic info! Thank you Kalie!
Good job, Kalie!
Thanks for the video. It's a much needed update. I've seen that banks are changing their policies and not wanting to open accounts for foreigners who don't have passive income. Do you know if a bank account is still required for the digital nomad visa?
Thanks Kalie!!! Great info on the changes. Hope to see you guys in Portugal in the next year
Hi, guys. Thank you for the video. But what about before the digital nomad visa? Do we still need the NIF and Portuguese bank account? Would you still recommend Bordr’s services for those who want the digital nomad visa?
For an early retiree too young to receive income from retirement accounts or social security, what qualifies as “passive income”? Would having a certain amount of total assets qualify?
Always great information! Interesting about the ability to apply from country of residence rather than your home country. Does that apply to the D7 visa as well or only the new remote worker visa?
So am I right in understanding that if you are retiring you still get the D7 at the previous income requirements?
