Work has begun on my old house in Portugal

It’s been two weeks since I bought my Portuguese home in the area of Vieira de Leiria and I have been busy with clearance and cleaning. It’s hard to know where to start and what jobs to do first but I seem to have found a flow. I’ve even found time to rub down walls!

By the time I release my next video hopefully the builder will have started on the roof and I may even be pumping water from the well.

Don’t forget to follow me on instagram or facebook by clicking on the link on my YouTube header.

  1. Hi, You are going to have a number of tasks. I’d advise you to normally buy good brand names. For outside petrol engines are probably best. Brands like Makita are good. Mountfield for garden equipment. Type in ‘best garden brush cutter’ or ‘best rotovator’ etc. A mitre saw is also good for cutting wood. Good tools will definitely make life better. You need a good sander for the walls before painting the walls. Take a wire brush to the smooth area of wall to make it rough again. Sandpaper is likely to further smooth the wall.
