Hi, You are going to have a number of tasks. I’d advise you to normally buy good brand names. For outside petrol engines are probably best. Brands like Makita are good. Mountfield for garden equipment. Type in ‘best garden brush cutter’ or ‘best rotovator’ etc. A mitre saw is also good for cutting wood. Good tools will definitely make life better. You need a good sander for the walls before painting the walls. Take a wire brush to the smooth area of wall to make it rough again. Sandpaper is likely to further smooth the wall.

When patching the wall… apply the plaster then, using a damp terrycloth rag (or the like), press against the plaster to simulate that rough texture.
