Young Couple Creating an Off Grid Homestead

This week we get to work more on our dream of making our own wine, pressing the grapes and having a lot more than we had planned for. As the weather is cooling we can get back to our projects making this abandoned old barn into a beautiful homestead, Carissa builds a new greenhouse and Iwan gets to work on the driveway.

Beijinos e abraços,
Carissa, Iwan, Frankie & Albi

Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

  1. Nice content guys. Wouldn't it help to start the wine clarification by using a screen in the press? Simple fix, if you heat up the bottom of the funnel and press into the demi-johns a few inches I know from experience you'll avoid those frustrating 'boil overs' and loosing some of that hard won fermented wine product. Alternatively a simple wooden holder to support the funnel. Great to know you've had some rain recently, must be a relief.

  2. I just can't get over your "views" to "subscribers" ratio. They are so close !!
My other channels have LOTS more views than subscribers … Great job kids 😊 I can call you kids because I'm 70 LOL 🤣😀

  3. Another amazing video this week, but can i say the music was sooo loud i was having to adjust volume every time between speech and non speech times quite significantly 😖 – enough to go back a few times because i missed what was said. Stay safe through theweather change.

  4. Helo o Awstralia 🙂 I don't know if you've already done this or not but, put some stones ( decent size stones) to pin down that greenhouse. You will need to anchor it down. I don't know how far the tree is but maybe tie a strap over the greenhouse, they are wonderful (yes had one) but they are quite flimsy in a strong wind. Caru'r sianel
