Good to see you have found your self Gerben. And nice to see that the entrepreneur in you got back.
Porto Montenegro is a really nice place.
The only downside is: that it is owned by Russian (like almost all ports in Montenegro) and the locals don’t get to bennefit from that. It’s like a Russian bubble in a other country. I find that sad. Hopefully this will change Some day.
About the sittensenship in Montenegro, that is a different kind of story. Buying a passport!! Only for the ritch to dodge tax paying. (Remember the cheap gas!)

I understand that you are going to make Montenegro as your base and I have noticed that the boat "Perfect Sense " is registered to Amsterdam, how does it work with Montenegro authority in regard of having a boat registered in an European country, do you have to get out of the country and back like the European Union does with foreign flags??? Is there any VAT in Montenegro ? I am looking forward your reply as it would help me greatly for my boat project, Thank you… Gilles

Good seasonal charter opportunities, plus you get the write offs year round. Not being a 4 seasons holiday destination the attraction is probably in affordable real estate and connecting newcomers with business opportunities. You two already have expertise in that field, or easily adaptable.

Good to hear you feel some positive energy, hope for you that it will bring you something. But as a bit of advise, stay as far away from crypto as you can, it is the fastest way to go bankrupt. Yes you can get rich if you can find an idiot who wants to pay more for hot air than you did, but if you cannot find that idiot your money is lost. I know it is tempting, but when you are so far down the drain as you are it is easy to make a wrong choice. Good luck.

First I think Montenegro is missing the Russian money
The Ukrainian war is about get very very hot and will escalate badly
What you can do about it, I haven't a clue what is worse 80% of Ukraine and Europe feel that Russia is losing the war and Putin is desperate when the exact opposite is the case
If you read about Pepe Escobar's article about the Moskva in the Saker where Norwegian missiles and Norwegian technical crew were used to sink her, you will see that direct confrontation between NATO and Russia has already started but nobody knows

I've been in touch with an agent regarding renting an apartment in Tivat. I will come for a month to begin with and use this time to research Montenengro. So happy you are doing some advance research 🤣 The water quality (chemical additives) is important to me and one reason I chose Slovenia years back. Anyway, it appears Montenegro is my first destination and looks like it's July. Madly closing down my life in Australia now. So thrilled to see Gerben's verve for life increasing. I have a wonderful villa right on the water-front in the bay and I am literally off to see my Montenegrin lawyer tomorrow morning to start the residency permit application! I was in Porto Montenegro the other day to fuel a tender and I noticed Feel the Breeze but you were not there. Cup of coffee at the house in the bay?

Montenegro will be lucky to count you as part of the community. I'm watching faithfully and with high hopes for you. What language is Benjamin learning now?

At some point could you discuss how you handle healthcare in Montenegro? Are there advantages since you are now a resident? Do they charge you income tax? How does the healthcare compare to what you have in the Netherlands. Here in the US we do not have a national healthcare system. Medical care here is excellent but very expensive you must have private insurance. Based on your videos, Montenegro looks very modern and clean. I'm not trying to pry into your personal situation but am interested in how the system works there. This would be a very interesting video segment that people would be interested in hearing about.
