18 Months Restoring Our Portuguese Quinta – The Story So Far

A lot has happened over the last 18 months here on our small quinta in Central Portugal. From clearing the land to starting a small veg garden to renovating the farmhouse.

Of course, the story of this place goes back much further than 18 months. Before we bought it in October 2020 no one had lived here for almost 20 years.

In this video we’ll travel back in time and give you a brief history of the house and the family that built it as well as showing you what we’ve accomplished in the short time that we’ve called this place home.

  1. Although I liked your content i had stopped watching your vids so didn't realize you'd gone offline. Your videos were just too long. 2×12 minute videos each focused on one subject are much more manageable and enjoyable than 1 x 20+ min. video about many different things or events. Hopefully this channel will be better because your content is very good and informative, especially for someone who is saving up to do exactly what you're doing. Good luck!

BTW, would love to see some videos on your booze making. I was very intrigued with the orange juice wine!😀 😊

  2. Thank you for the inspiration you bring us to this channel, 🥰
I'm glad to see that you don't have to be a specialist to get nice and beautiful things done. 🥳
You don't have to be a specialist to enjoy one's activities, you just need to have the will to learn, and persistence, lots of it. 🤣🤣

  3. So glad to see you back! You both have been inspirational on our journey to Portugal. I'm hoping I can make orange wine as well! The land looks great and it's amazing to see all you have accomplished over the past 18 months!

  4. Welcome back! We,ve missed you and had no idea you were changing your channel. We have been searching for new vlogs daily. Lol. Glad to see you’re back now. What was the reasoning behind changing the channel?

  5. Great re-introduction to your land/home and to both of you. You have been missed lately and I look forward to watching you both grow. You have been an inspiration and have definitely had an impact on me wanting to make the move to Portugal over the next year or so. Keep on keeping on. From the Oregon Coast!!!

  6. I can attest that the year has been a whole lot funnier and more fun than Guy has made this video!! Thrilled they are back!! Great synopses of the last 18 months. Hugs from 🇨🇦

  7. Great recap Guy and Kylie! Thanks for making the effort to share your journey with us! To new watchers – if you haven't seen Guy and Kylie's earlier video journey, I strongly recommend you visit their first channel "Eco and Beyond". Get to know them, and the intelligent, considerate, witty people that they are!

  8. I absolutely LOVED this video. It was a GREAT synopsis. Even though I'd seen those old pictures before I loved seeing them in this video, it worked so well. Brilliant video. I salute you! 👍🏽🙏🏽

  9. So so happy that my first go to channel is back! Man, you achieved a lot in such a short time! Being a workaholic ( in the good sense) in this country must be great! Love to see what else you will be doing.
