The Portuguese law of return, which was enacted in 2015, grants descendants of the Spanish and Portuguese Jewry the privilege to obtain a Portuguese European passport.

However, it is always possible that circumstances will change in the meantime. For example, the Spanish law of return was cancelled and the Israeli path to Spanish citizenship closed, after only a few years.
