I feel homesick watching this lovely video… Amares is a lush and green district, you can find amazing wineries by the way. If you have time head to my village, Barreiros where you can visit a wine farm and also take a fabulous walk by the river cávado beach area. Near where you are staying there is an Abadia and also a monastery which is now a hotel but you can still visit as a non paying guest. Thank you so much for the video, it feels good to see home from here in rainy London….
I can’t hear the birds but I can hear my engine running and my heater blowing trying to keep warm it is absolutely freezing here so I need to get another source of heating in my van can’t keep running the engine like this great to see you I just don’t want to get to go but hey Ho xx
Beautiful nature and sounds of the birds in the background. So peaceful and calm! What an experience it must be for you to see yet another rural area, and as always, thanks for sharing.
What beautiful countryside just the stuff that feeds your soul.
Currently building my home in Jamaica in the hills so I can have beautiful country views all the time.
Thank you for sharing another wonderful little video of such a beautiful rural village. ☘️🧙♂️🇮🇪
What a peaceful video, beautiful views and fibre! I wouldn't want to be completely isolated so seeing more connectivity being installed gives me more options for the future. I now feel very chilled, Thank you Luise
Looks so very peaceful
Hazel ☘️ … Spring has sprung indeed !
Ah Luise another great off the beaten track travel vlog …. Camera work amazing and another spectacular walk.
Yea I want a 🍊 🍋 tree … I wonder was that deliberate grafting or just the host growing non-intentionally ? … hmmm pick a piece of each fruit and taste it , I wonder if both can taste good ?
I’m not jealous of the weather at all as I sit here in cold, wet, snowy, windy Ireland !
Enjoy your week Luise 👏
🙏😘☘️
You graft the lemon on one side and the oranges on the other.
Beautiful area.
are all your stays totaly free?
Lovely 😊❤️
Lovely relaxing music paired perfectly with the scenery.
Lovely walk with you around Vilela. That slender red structure to the right, just after the grafted tree (3:07 to 3:17) looks like a slender miniature barn was interesting… maybe it was some sort of bird/pigeon house. Cute village.
That was a gorgeous area! Thanks for bringing us along. It seems like a nice quiet village. Would this be the type of place you would like to live one day when you are ready to settle down? I just love how green it is for February! Take care and see you in the next one.
Your videos get me so excited about my move to Portugal from south Florida
🌟👍🍀💐
This so beautiful. x
Thank you :o) It is so peaceful there. The terrain reminds me of up-home (Adirondack Mts, NY) but the weather is soooo different. I have always wanted a citrus tree in my garden but alas I have never lived in an area where that was possible. The architecture and the landscaping (those beautifully shaped trees leading up to the church were fabulous) just grab me. Thanks again :o)
Beautiful View and beautiful Land. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for updating another amazing video 👍
Yes you can graft trees like that, also apples and pears etc.
I always love your walks and this one is no exception. Thank you I want one of those orange/lemon trees too
Beautiful, green, lush. Lots of water. 😍 I heard someone mention grafting a lemon and orange tree on a permaculture video and I thought the same as you, “I want one.” Thanks for sharing these lovely places in PT that I can’t visit yet. ❤️
Lou. Again thank you. The more you travel around Portugal the more we get to see the opportunities. From the dryness of the south to the green of the north. I know people are saying Portugal is having a lack of rain. People also mention about moisture or damp, but compared to Ireland it about 50oercent less. I have only used Castle Branco figures.can I ask how high above sea level are you at the moment. For me the lure of Portugal, it warmer, it cheaper, it appears more friendlier. Not the cities but the rural areas. I must do a trip. What is it for you that makes Portugal so good, love the sea, hate the commericalisation the graffiti, the high end retail therapy, the clutter, the crowds. Oh on top of that don't mind being up high, but don't like drops. Cindys place is coming along, another few months she will have it all in tow. U vlog is brilliant, regards
Watching this my heart is jumping happily. Hi from Germany and keep up the good work.
