In this vlog we go to some of the stunning viewpoints in Peneda-Gerês National Park. I say “oh my God” rather a lot and don’t finish many of my sentences. It’s because the views were so breathtaking. Sorry, not sorry.

OMG 😲 😲😲😲😲😯beautiful places on earth
🙂 I’m from Amares that you visited earlier, studied in Braga and spent many happy moments in my favourite place : Gerês. (Right there is the village “Campo”.). I’m living in the UK at the moment but can’t wait to get back to those places you are visiting ! Enjoy Portugal
I love Geres
There's a couple of similar places that I like to visit. One is serra do Caramulo looking down to vale de besteiros, the other is Sao Macario in Sao Pedro do Sul
Amazing!
I m planning to visit the national park next week. Is it connect via public transport? It will be great if we can connect.
Thanks
I feel like your channel should have so many more subscribers Louise, you do such a fabulous job of covering so many areas of Portugal. Love your never ending curiousity and always envy those who just go for it!

You are like a breath of fresh air in a trouble world so dont ever appologise for enjoying the beauty around you ..
Just one hour hike from junceda you have can climb up Pé de Cabril and have a stunning 360 degree view, including the sea and all the valleys around. Totally worth it.
Also, where you made a right turn to go up the mountain, if you keep going there's Campo do Gerês and beyond the Vilarinho das Furnas dam and the Albergaria woods, in the heart of the National Park. Too good to miss.
I am the same. I drive to a destination and it takes me twice the time 🙂 I fell in love with Northern Portugal. Geres park is amazing.
"Terras de Bouro"- "Lands of Bouro", named after the Buri, who for generations made good use of those mountains and valleys to ward off any invaders, be it romans or other barbarian tribes, like the Vandals or Visigoths, who would eventually vanquish them. The legacy of their fighting spirit would persist well into the 17th century in the context of the Restoration War against the spaniards.
You made it to Gerês!!!!! It's literally my favourite place in Portugal, it's my spiritual home. I have found memories of family days out all over the national park and as a teenager wild camping and crazy adventures in this unique place. If you can, do visit the turquoise lagoons, the water is crystal clear. There is a fabulous circular drive from the Vila do Gerês to the hot springs across in Galicia (Spain) where you can actually swim , then head across to Pitões das Junias de 2nd highest village in Portugal and an absolute gem and then down to Cabril. It's undoubtedly the most scenic route in Portugal. Of course eat locally and if you are not vegetarian then you are in for a treat, but if you are take a packed lunch! LoL
❤ Gerês is amazing!! So many childhood memories 🥰
So spectacular! Portugal is so beautiful!
very beautiful views there and it's not so usual to have a Portugueese Mountain video, as Seasides are more touristic places. I am very interested with that part of the country. Thanks for sharing it. Many treasures there. 👍🧡
good to see pines growing back after the fires.
I moved from Porto 9years ago to a farm near Campo do Gerês. The only thing I regret, was not coming sooner
Thank you :o) Stunning views!
Over 50 years away from Portugal the most north I travel to Porto. Amazing Serra do Gerês thanks to taking me there.
