Praia da Galé forms the eastern end of the wide sandy bay of Armação de Pêra. On this beach, the rock formations characteristic of the western Algarve emerges again from the sands, providing nooks and crannies for bathers, especially in the eastern section, with the western sector being more exposed.

These carbonated rocks with hot cores and very rich in marine fossils, also called concheiros, testify to a past time when the sea level was further inland. They are heavily sculpted by rainwater and polished by the sea, treated by plants adapted to the sod.

In areas where sand accumulates, mainly in the plant sector, you can still observe the dune plants, the sand clove, and the aromatic evergreen in the continuity of the Salgados dune system and the aromatic Praia Grande. To the east, rock formations dominate, and an area of ​​stone pine appears to crown the orange cliff.
