#5 Renovation Starts on Our Portuguese Farm! 💥🔨

In this week’s video we finally start the renovations on our Portuguese farm! We started taking down the tiles in the kitchen. The electrician paid us a visit and we finally have some electricity in this house. The rain helped the soil of our garden, but also it loosened up the walls in front of the house.

My name is Debora and I moved to Portugal to start a new life. My sister and I bought an abandoned piece of land with a cottage and a barn on it. Our plan is to restore the farm and convert the barn into a home.

We’re nursing the land back to life after it has been neglected for so long. We left the city to live a more meaningful and simple life more in tune with nature. Being Spanish and Portuguese and moving here to Portugal, the land of my ancestors, has felt like finally coming home.

We’re trying to be more self-sufficient and trying to go off-grid as much as possible. Follow us along on our journey as we clear the land, renovate the house and barn, start a garden in the future and do many other projects.

Thank you for watching and joining us on our journey!

  1. NÃO ERA PRECISO RETIRAR OS AZULEJOS…HAVIA MUITAS OPÇÕES
    PINTAR A JUNTA DE BRANCO
    OU COLOCAR MASSA POR CIMA
    E PINTAR…TRABALHO INUTIL…
NÃO ESTAMOS EM INGLATERRA E NO SUL NÃO FICAM MAL AZULEJOS NA PAREDE DE UM QUARTO…ALEM DE QUE CLIMATIZA MUITO MAIS…O AMBIENTE…A ARGILA TEM ESSA CARACTERISTICA…

  2. Hi. A Portuguese fan of your work, from Portugal, Lisbon. You bought a beautiful, beautiful house. I love the tiles on the floor of your house they called hidraulicos azulejos-tiles. My grandma's house had similiar tiles but we are unable to recover them. They are very detiorated. Your house has a lot of potential! I wish you all the best and I look forward to following your next videos XOXO Isabelinha from Lisbon.

  3. Lots of hard work. Are you planning on reusing the brick, lovely stone and the kitchen sink? PS and you can’t please everyone. You have to make it your own and be happy with the results. Glad you got rain finally. Your trees will be happy. Are you living on the property now?
