But, it was Britney who has said because her father and his time there, can't remember exactly what she said or if she's also spent time there when she was younger. Just watched a documentary on Americans moving to Portugal! Really popular in cities starting business and restaurants! More laid back and easier to have a business.
To qualify to buy in Portugal don’t you have to live there for 6 months?
Storing cars etc with gas is not good for long periods of time as it sits and turns to like a thick putty!

Hey Brittany and Drew, I dont know if you know this or not but you can get a 3 month extension to your Schegen Visa so you can remain in Portugal an extra 90 days. The deal is that you have to stay in Portugal and once you leave you cannot come back until your clock resets. Anyway if you find yourself needing more time this is a nice way to stay a little longer. Check it out with Portuguese Immigration. They have all the details. This is specific to Portugal only.
