Completely surrounded by vegetation, far from everything and everyone, lies this amazing 19th-century house. With several rooms, a glass balcony and a tower, which was not possible to access, due to the poor condition of the floor, this was not the type of construction we were expecting to find. Close to this house, there is a tarmac road, but to access this house directly, you need to go through a dirt road surrounded by forest. We’re delighted with the idea that everyday cars pass on that tarmac road, every day there are people from that locality passing by and they do not even imagine that there is a house nearby, in the middle of the woods, it is almost like a secret place, so secret that ended up forgotten and abandoned.
After a long search, we found a stuffed animal creature. Some say it is not a wolf, but a dog. In our opinion, it is a wolf, but whatever it is, it is not exactly the kind of thing that we would like to have as a decoration at home, but there are tastes for everything.
The house is quite empty, especially when it comes to documentation, so it was not easy to find out anything about its history. We ended up having an exchange of messages with a person who lives in the locality where the house is and according to what was transmitted to me, the house has been uninhabited for many years. It was left as an inheritance to the children, but they never spent money on their recovery and it deteriorated over time. Interestingly, after some research, we came to the conclusion that the family that lived in this house, was a descendant of a family from the high Portuguese aristocracy, whose surname we cannot reveal, to protect the house and safeguard the name of the family itself.
When the house was still in good condition, it was used as a holiday home by one of the heirs, who by the way was a writer, especially during the summer. Subsequently, it has been for sale for some time, but because it was already terribly degraded, nobody bought it. Since then, it has been forgotten and it will probably remain so for the future
