What is going on with your water storage behind you in the video? I noticed the concrete blocks, so is this the tank that was leaking and needing work? That's is one of the projects I will be interested to see you work on. I have what appears to be a spring on one end of my property and would like to find a way of holding part of the water back so I have it for watering trees over there. I also liked the lime footage. I want to use not just the lime putty but the lime wash. Want to put that on the inside of the chicken coop since it is supposed to be great antibacterial.. Always so much stuff to try!

Good job! You got lots of suggestions for your olive oil. I second the idea of using it as a preservative for whole olives, sun-dried tomatoes, etc. But you are still in the building phase, not the storage and cooking phase. Maybe be something for later using those jars you have. Have you been able to explore the microclimates on you property yet? There might be sheltered spots for Guacamole and the Banana.

Always interested. 😁🥑🇦🇺 Olive oil…..pastry, cake batter, preserved goodies and replacement for any fats in cooking.
Avocado should do well except in frosts. Cover with burlap in winter, or up early to hose frost off. Trim back any dead/dying branches and keep all fruit trees low, to reach bounty. Great work.

Olive oil is the bomb on popcorn instead of butter…add sea salt and possibly nutritional yeast and you have a yummy, nutritional snack. Love your place!! Karen

Yay! Liming, yes, totally up for hearing/seeing more on that process and uses, especially the rendering. Olive oil, I make soap. I haven't used 100% olive oil yet, but intend to. It's slow to cure and eventually makes a hard soap. Currently I add coconut oil and shea butter. There is an app called 'soap' a yellow bar on burgundy background which allows you to put the ingredients you want to use in and it works out the quantities of each and the lye required.

I know the 'Indie Projects' channel had to order a pallet of lime several months ago. IDK if you are close in proximity, but maybe they have the lime you were hoping for. Actually, I don't even know if they used the whole pallet or not, they haven't mentioned it for a long time. If I remember, the last video they talked about it, there was like a half pallet left. Indie Projects is a Portugal channel.

Always funny! I think the putty is sold as “Pasta de cal”. I’m using it as paint, but if you don’t mix the bucket, maybe is the same consistency that you need?

I don't know if someone suggested it, but a good way to use the olive oil you have in excess is to use it to preserve some vegetables from your garden, for example: tomatoes, garlic, cucumbers, etc.

Olive oil makes for a really nice moisturizer. Feta and oregano in olive oil. Herbed oil. Soap. It was nice seeing your older projects – are you using the lime on your walls later?
