Exploring the South of France 🇫🇷 Travel Vlog

Travelling around Europe is elite. Here is a vlog from my most recent trip to the South of France with my Dad. It was beautiful and it was a dream.

This is the first trip away with just myself and my Dad in years! Like 15 years or something crazy like that. Dad wanted to go to the South of France … and I was never going to deny him that! We spent a week in a city just 20 minutes away from Marseille called Aix en Provence. This region is on the French Riviera (or Côte d’Azur). This area in particular is famous for its lavender fields and renowned painters! Hope you enjoy this video where we explore the city, visit museums, grab some bits from the flea markets and enjoy the French food!

Our AirBnb:

Things mentioned in video:
Le Singe Vert – This was my favourite meal of the trip. I got the French iconic dish … steak frites. This restaurant is on Cours Mirabeau so it is ideal for people watching!
Place Richelme Food Market – OBSESSED. Imagine living here and getting your weekly vegetables from here? I picked up a beautiful painting by Grigore Dontu. I strolled around this market from ages – so dreamy.
Patisserie Weibel – Blog posts online said that this is the best bakery / cafe in Aix-en-Provence. The pasteries were so delicious, the atmosphere was perfect and it is situated in such a bustling part of the city – defo recommend.
Hotel de Caumont – What a beautiful beautiful building. A ticket is €14 and gives you access to the exhibit, the café and to the beautiful gardens. The museum section was showcasing Raoul Dufy paintings. Visiting l’Hôtel de Caumont was such a highlight for me.
Le Tube – Hawaiian surf restaurant with amazing octopus dishes!
Librairie de l’Hotel Boyer d’Equiller – Café and restaurant set in a courtyard and in a library! Very cool
Cours Mirabeau Flea Market – Flea market full of clothes, furniture and records on the main street in Aix.
Maison Z & W – Cookie shop in the city centre. These cookies were so sweet but soooo good.
Valeria Le Clan des Mamma – Italian restaurant. The pasta was so yum.
Le Rendez-Vous – French bistro in Pl. Forum des Cardeurs.
Supergoop and P20 – My favourite sunscreens. No wrinkles around here baby.
Bumble and bumble BB Curl – My favourite curl cream for the curly girl method.
Cezanne’s Studio – Cézanne is a super famous artist from Aix-en-Provence. You can get a tour of his art studio about 10 minutes out from the city.
Chateau La Coste – A stunning wine estate with restaurants, guided tours of the architecture and an art gallery.
Chateau de La Gaude – A fancy 5-star hotel with a gourmet restaurant and prestigious estate. Looks amazing for a stroll around!

My biggest inspirations for creating vlogs and lifestyle content as of late: Eva Meloche and Moya Mawhinney. Definitely check out their channels!
