Hello Steve, the roads still look a long way off from being finished. When I was there in March/Phil time it confused me just to get to family in Marsaxlokk. I was confused bug time. But other roads are looking much better and nice traffic flow…. cheers Gino

Just drove a rental car for 1 week in malta. I adapted pretty fast, dont let other drivers know you saw them or they will cut you off, drive as fast as you can and overtake everywhere, embrace the chaos!!

Hi Steve thanks,😊 for the drive to the ✈Airport,👌But when I go to and from the ✈Airport,🙏 i'ts always by taxi or bus 🤗,but i'ts always a good thing that there is some development in Malta / 💃 it is a beautiful small Island with lots of 🚗cars..lol…from Copenhagen DK 🇩🇰

i remember when roads were very narrow with wider spaces at intervals to allow on coming traffic pass. then roads began to widen and the round about era started .those days i used to joke about driving in malta in a round about way… now we have wide roads being reduced to a single line lane. with flyovers and underpasses you wouldnt know if your taking off or diving…!!!!

Wow Steve after years of driving and learning the roads of Malta I think with this and all the other roadworks you have shown us I will now need new instruction or a map .🤣🤣🤣

i loved the airport in Malta … compared to Paris cdg , its a pleasure to drive around . The ONE thing i still laugh about is my reaction at the condition of my rental car ( dents and cracked wheel trims ) … a week after driving those small old roads I understood and had to smile on returning it …..
Malta is such a beautiful place I want to return to soon

Ya, nice video Steve. God how things are changing. It would be a good idea if they had a helicopter from the airport up to Mellieha. I'd be on that, stuff all those roadworks. Just a thought. Hope your feeling better Steve. All the best.

There a lot of road works going

We were in Malta in mid May. (/As promised in previous message). Certainly chaos at Manchester airport…but do not recognise this. Airport taxi still same price as at last visit in 2019. Speedy and friendly through airport. Journey to St Julian’s hotel fine. Similar Price from St Julian’s hotel to airport when left. Ok journey. Again airport efficient and courteous. Miss the old exciting bus journeys but still reasonably priced. Very sad to learn of the corruption in Malta which led to the violent death of a journalist. Hopefully they will not tolerate and eradicate this as damages the reputation of a welcoming population.

I experienced that back in July. We stayed in an apartment in Luqa the night before we flew back and thought it would be easy to get to the airport lol. I'm sure it'll be good when its finished
