The bar with the blue top you showed a glimpse of it as you scanned back from the lift was called the bizzarro and we used to meet there on a Monday for the book club were we would exchange our books. The lady who ran it was named Joan. Boy has it changed since then.

Hi Kevin, John from cumbernauld here. Just found your site last week and really enjoy it and your content. Not sure how much longer you got left in albufeira but I've been there numerous times and a wee hidden gem for something to eat that mostly locals will know .. il cappuccino in street at public library , kind of cafe/ restaurant that Nelson and his wife have .. all home cooked..set menu 4 courses and half litre of wine or beer .. all for €10 . Check it out .

Lol Last time I was in Albufeira they were just building that lift to the beach.

We where there about 3 weeks ago. FYI the lift to the beach opens at 10am and closes at 5pm. Saw a few families caught out as between 4pm and 7pm is probably the best time of the day for young children to play on the beach when the sun is a little lower in the sky. Not nice hiking up the 12 flights of stairs with a couple of kids a pram and the rest of your belongings

Always go to the iguana cafe when I’m in toon , splash the cash once in two weeks . Rest of the time it’s Pund a pint 🍻

Nice video – been there and to a few other Algarve resorts when children were younger. Prefer them to Spain etc (the resorts!). I pity the builders having to do physical work in that heat though!

Was in Albufeira I asked the waitress for a margarita looking forward to a nice cocktail, and she brought me out a pizza LOL xx
