Apartment For Sale In The City of Caldas da Rainha//160,000 💶 //Virtual Tour// Silver Coast Portugal

Hi! I’m back!!

I feel like it’s been forever since I uploaded my last video.

Did you all survive the heatwave here in the Silver Coast? Some days, it was as high as 40 degrees Celsius which is about 104 degrees Fahrenheit. That is abnormal for this area. The highest it usually gets is 30 maybe 33 (high 80s, low 90s in Fahrenheit).

The kids recently got out of school so we decided to take some time off and drive across Spain. We spent a couple of days in Madrid and stayed in the city center. The weekend was absolutely crazy. The city was full of life and the Spanish sure do know how to party all night long. Can we also take a moment to appreciate the diversity of food that was there? I was quite surprised to see so many American fast food chains (Taco Bell, McDonalds, 5 Guys, Jolibee (though its Filipino) and more). If you know me, I love love love Mexican food and ate my share there since that’s one thing I’m craving ALL the time.

After Madrid, we drove to Valencia. I think I take it for granted how small of a country Portugal is. It took us nearly 4 hours to drive from Madrid to Valencia. In less time, I could be in the Algarves. Regardless, we arrived in Valencia and its a nice city. It reminds me a lot of Soho (New York). The beaches are nice too with warm water (a thing that we miss). My kids enjoyed jumping the waves and building sand castles.

Both Madrid and Valencia were incredibly hot. When I say hot, I mean….excruciatingly hot. It was in the 40s all week with no breeze. I forgot how nice it is to live in a climate where the hottest time of the day is midday and then it cools down at night. In Spain, it may cool down a few degrees in the evening, but it’s still pretty toasty. Valencia was better, but still quite hot in comparison to Portugal.

Ok here I am rambling! In today’s video, I wanted to show you a modern apartment. This apartment is a t3 and 2 full bathroom. It is located just on the outskirts of the city center and is within a 10 minute walk. The apartment is located on the first floor. The apartment just recently sold, but I wanted to share with you what you could get within that price range.

I hope you all enjoy the video

  1. Is there a realtor that you feel is good for this area? I would be looking for a house with garage with an A energy rating on at least 4000m2 plot near Caldas or the anywhere on Silver Coast if I cannot find something near Caldas.

  2. Hi Josie! I’m new to your channel and have enjoyed watching your informative videos. I’m looking forward to visiting Portugal next year and hopefully moving within the next two years. I was wondering if there are any international high schools near you. I have 3rd, 7th, and 10th graders. I’m interested in looking into the private Portuguese school you mentioned in the another video for my youngest and possibly my middle child if he hasn’t finished middle school by the time we move but I definitely would want to go the international route for high school. Initially, I thought free, public school would be a given and had not anticipated having to pay for school. My family was planning on living in Lisbon for the first year but I don’t know if this will be an option because of school so we are looking at other locations. I really loved your feedback regarding the private Portuguese school so figured I should give your city a look. Thank you in advance
