WE’RE RANDY and TERI… two people who have found our paradise in the Western Pacific, living out our retirement to the fullest.
We made the decision to retire early and in 2013, sold our home, packed up the furniture and the cats, and moved to the Philippines. We built a home on the island of Samar and learned that while curiosity is the key to unlocking life, our much desired utopia did not exist in a single location… so we moved to Guam and now enjoy the best that both locations have to offer. Pushing one’s self to live outside their comfort zone softens expectations, and has helped us to embrace the great unknown. And the more we let our curiosity lead the way, the more we discover about ourselves and the world around us.
Some 10 years later, we still look to new adventures, and have come to understand that comfort and stability plays an important role in any chosen lifestyle. Today, it’s all about managing our resources and our health, and we’re always looking for new and better ways to do so. We now share our time between these two paradises which share both commonality and difference.
Our journey is ever-evolving but our goal remains the same: To enjoy life… and as much as possible, while hanging out in the “Tropic Shade.”
Formerly “Retired in Samar,” we are now “Living in the Pacific.”
