  1. @Paul … Warning – this is long post. Wow, we heard some strong, verciforous opinions today and in the interest of playing devil's advocate, here goes for what it's worth.
    – Regarding the infamous Jan 6 insurrection at the Capitol building, have you viewed any of the recently released video of the more than 30,000 hours of surveillance video that was hidden from the public. It presents for the most part a very different story than CNN or the leader of the House had. It's fascinating that some of the Jan 6 'right wingers' are still in solitary confinement when they are not shown in the hours of video to have committed any crime other than following Capitol Police into the hallways where they are seen taking photos.
    – For well over a year, radical groups burned their cities and democratic elitists bailed them out, even though their violence and vandalism was repeatedly broadcast. What mega corporate left wing donors sponsored these insurrections and commandeering of governmental buildings? Oh wait we are starting to find out…
-By the way, 75% of TV revenue by the mainstream news organisations comes from pharmaceutical companies. We indeed must follow the money as you said.
Hmmmm… the recent release of Pfizer testing documentation is really enlightening as it is starting to be released by court order instead of in the 75 years from now as they wanted. (not joking)… That's longer than US presidential papers. Could this be influenced by corporate and political interests… just wondering.
    – The US might in fact do better with a benevolent dictator from Mars, who is not in the pocket of the media and vice versa.
    – By the way, the electoral college seems to have worked very well over the years as the radicals on both sides get alternating opportunities to destroy the country. Little Rhode Island gets a couple of senators just like Texas because they are both States in a union. The districts get readjusted regularly anyway by the party in power so it evens out the representative vote… of course depending on the number of border crossings.
    – Sorry for the rant guys but the amount of misinformation out there is dangerous and dispicable. We can all agree on that, because we all know the opposition is wrong of course.
    – A question that I can't get an answer to is that if a Supreme Court Justice doesn't know what a woman is, when she is one, how can she now interpret on women's rights issues as there are none with defined personages? Ooops. We know she is a woman because the president announced he was appointing a woman of color. Even Mr. Biden knows it. Maybe that's why we all referred to Mr. Obama as the first black president. I always felt that was rascist because he was half black and half white… not because I felt it was a put down to whites, but rather a put down to president Obama. He was a unique and capable individual with his own being. He is perfectly who he is. Did he love or hate his black or white side? Like to know his thoughts.
    – Rachael Maddow was hysterical about the implications of the Roe v. Wade leak. If she truly believes in the write to abortions for all women, she still has the legal right through assisted suicide to correct her mother's choice in not having an abortion.
    – One last thing, the recent release of Pfizer testing documentation is really enlightening as well…
    – Maybe some right wingers move to other countries to escape fascism as well. It takes diffferent forms you know. Just a thought.
    Thanks for reading.

  2. @Paul thanks for your insights. I'm Canadian, though I was educated in an American school overseas. You spoke of modern democracy and the difficulty experiencing that in the US. You have understandably expressed your dislike for the right wing. It is absolutely true that when they recently garnered power, in 4 years issued numerous presidential 'decrees' . Now in a little over a year, the the other party has written or revoked more 'decrees' than you can imagine. This is not a political show but begs an arms length comment.
For example, watch the extensive list of film documentaries produced by Nick Johnson (YouTube). These show the abject poverty of Democratically run cities in the US. I say the proof is in the pudding, not the pontificating. I have walked the main streets of Florida's larger cities late in the evening and felt safe. You might help me understand that.

  3. Paul went in deep! I appreciate him saying enslaved people when referring to the stollen people from Africa. Most, if not all other slavery was not generational, and did not permanently separate people. So much I agree with. Thinking of being an older person, I want to live in a community where I’ll be safe, and I’ll be able to happily interact with my neighbors, in a warm climate. California, sadly isn’t the place.

  4. Paul describes the situation in the US exactly the way I view it. I feel the "push" from the US growing more acutely in the last 8 years, and the feel the "pull" to Portugal more and more each day. Great show today! Thanks Carl, Douglas and Paul!

  5. This is an incredibly informative episode of GMP! Like Paul, I'm from the US and he's spot on with the current political issues in our country. Carl – thank you for providing this service through YouTube and podcast!
