Avenida da Liberdade – Upscale neighbourhood with a vibrant feel
Built as a park in the 18th century and converted in the 19th into the high-end boulevard we know today, Avenida da Liberdade is one of Lisbon’s main arteries and a prime location for luxury seekers. It was designed after Paris’s own Champs-Élysées, yet Avenida da Liberdade has much more to offer than meets the eye.
The wide avenue connects Marquês de Pombal and Avenidas Novas to Baixa, and is well-known for its colossal line-up of Lisbon’s best designer shops, five-star hotels and fabulous restaurants. Following along are the typical cobblestone sidewalks flanked by imposing trees, fountains, park benches and the typical kiosks where you can sit, relax and enjoy the comings and goings of people living Avenida da Liberdade to its fullest.
Catch an indie film screening at Cinema São Jorge, have the meal of your life at JNcQUOI Asia and get on the latest trends at fashion houses like Miu Miu or Louis Vuitton, and you will know how it is to spend time here. There are also more down-to-earth cafés and shops, but the gist at Avenida da Liberdade is you can be — and buy — whatever you want here.
It is for all these reasons that we decided to have Tamea’s International office on the Avenue – we truly feel this neighbourhood has it all. Don’t hesitate to pay us a visit if you’re nearby!
With beautiful examples of neoclassical Portuguese architecture, Avenida da Liberdade has been upping its game with many of its buildings housing high-ceiling apartments, commercial properties and overall the most upscale destination for developers and investors.
