Bonjour ,
What a really cool place. No noise. I'm heading to Portugal castello branco soon to search for a small bit of land. Cheers for vids.
Hairy barsteeds in pine trees.?
That looks very nice. You did well. Glad to see you back at home.
that by the saw blocks
Do not cut off the ends of the roof tiles…!
Hazel ☘️ …
The Processionary Caterpillars stay in the nest until they are ready to march … then are only dangerous once they reach the ground and walk in long lines to soft soil to bury themselves to become moths for the day … so when you see them marching you should keep the girls in your garden …
They have toxic stingy, clingy hairs that cause at best cause a painful allergic reaction , but more worryingly to dogs is that they are likely to get them on their nose and throat causing much pain and dangerous swelling
There are many many ways to attempt to deal with them … but since you live near a forest you cannot get rid of them … so best be wise and learn to live side-by-side hence during marching season (I’m not sure when and for how long this is) avoid the forest or keep the girls on a lead but be vigilant for a procession crossing the path !
I got some hairs on my middle finger once …. Very swollen and painful for well over a fortnight ! The dogs were kept away and there wasn’t a problem.
You are brave on the bike with the girls on lead, but they behaved so well 👌
Great to see you back in Portugal Jasper and superb work on the finishing touches of the roof … looks great ! 👍
🙏☘️😘
Please get them body harnesses for pulling, this way you do not choke them. Also check their paw pads that is quite a harsh surface they are running on. Zoey doesnt have the same stamina as Akira poor thing
What about adding a gutter to capture rain water…it will hide the difference at the same time!
Your skill with a mason's trowel is one of the better efforts from Portugal DIYers that I have seen. Well done.
Bloody wine noise, when you're talking about the ridge tiles, I have to wear headphones and it's terrible. Glad you back.
Do you know project Portugal on you tube maybe have a look?😇💟💟💟
A tyred dog is a happy dog,if you put cement against a wall you should make it whet or the wall is going to suck out all the water and then it's going to val af or break, maybe you could bind this dogs on your seat of your bike then you have more control over your bike 🚲😇💟💟💟 love you
Nice to see you back in Portugal.
Why do'nt you why don't you turn it around, the house. Make that side your own place. And when that is finished you can work on the holliday cabins. Half finished cabins will not work. And you still need a kitchen and badroom. Good luck with building. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Keep going Gasper and I love your videos
Question for you dose the phone ring in the village and who answers it?Are you OK Jasper you might need some oxygen ! Have they sold that house yet I see someone is there Did they offer it to you for less than 55 k ?Your first tile I would try to fill in the top crackers so water doesn’t go under the tile and leak into the house Look like rain on Thursday They are saying 80 Percent👍✌️🤙❤️🇵🇹❤️
Welkom terug in Portugal, Jasper. Ideetje voor je dak: Oudhollandse windveren. Zie je er niks meer van.
It's really no fun watching you yelling at the pups so frequently on your videos, or seeing so much footage of the pups. I, personally, am more interested on the work and development on your property.
I'm sorry Jacob there's an art to rendering with a gauging trowel and you ain't got it LOL try using a bucket half full of cement right-handed from the bottom-up top-down match easier for you to learn 😍👍👍🇬🇧
I was thinking why don't you cover the wall in wood effect plastic cladding it would mean no more mainteance also could be a nice contrast with the tiles if you pick a light wood effect. It would mean battening the wall and then cladding over the top, proberly a little less mess than rendering the whole wall to, glad you are back in the warm again and starting back on your renovations. Looking forward to some more.
Why can't the roof tiles overhang? But the end result looks ok.
Why would you cut the verge off jest render up to it 😍👍👍🇬🇧
32:07 Chariot of the dogs!
Who said that the portuguese do not eat breakfast ?!?! 🤔
I wasn't sure about cutting off excess roof tiles but it looks great! 🙂
