Painting this house has been fun and really needed to give us the inspiration needed to crack on with the inside renovation on this previously Old run down house. Many suggested we knock it down and start again. Luckily we could see the potential in this traditional Portuguese stone house and I think all the effort and energy we put into this house up to this point is really starting to transform it into a home someone can be really proud of and enjoy. But can we beat the rain?

What a transformation an excellent paint job can make to the exterior !
However, I was struck by the front doorway that it was lacking something and thought that whilst it might be traditional for the area and country not to have something ornate as a decorative feature, I was wondering if you might consider a retractable "bow canopy" over the doorway.?
Its not too intrusive nor would I believe take away from the traditional architecture but just add a little bit of extra styling to the outside.
Even if you thought my comment was worthy of consideration, I have no idea of extra cost nor what colour it should be but something that complements the colours other than white.
Nonetheless, I pass on my comment for what its worth and like others, wish you all the best for your operation and hope you recove, real soon.

Just a tip when using roller and brushes when painting and going to use the roller and brush the next few days using the same color then wrap the head of the roller brush with a plastic bag and tighten the handle with a rubber band the roller and brush will not dry out and will be ready to continue with the painting the following day no need to wash the roller and brushes.
