Building STAIRS to Tiny House in Portugal!

This week has been exciting and full of work as I had friends & family over and we started to build proper steps down to the Wood Cabin.

If you’d like to support my project then I’d be so grateful if you bought me a „Kofi“ (which will go towards my next project or tool):

Or support me on Patreon: for a monthly handmade painting lottery. Thank you so much for all your support, it means the world to me.

  1. Good morning if it was me I would’ve use that wall to build steps on I would have used wood 2×10 x 24 inch stairs mount it to the concrete blocks on each side and the top with A brace and concrete screws

  2. Hey Maya Fantastic progress….love love love the new steps…which hopefully will make life a little more comfortable for you…I loved the use of the flat stones from the river….Great Job…..Paradise is looking more like paradise if that is possible!!!!!❤

  3. Maya so glad you now have a staircase, lovely volunteers. Can I suggest you put a few posts on one side with some rope along as a rail just as a safety net.
It's wonderful when everything comes together. ❤

  4. Oh Maya when you bought this place did you ever think what muscles you would need for such a renovation? Bet you did not. So everything at hand and locally sourced and with help of friends a continued process of rejuvenation. Give it 6 months and you should be able to move about without feeling tired and constant back ache should reduce. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Hi Maya…So pleased you are getting the stairs in. I have been worried you might slip and break an ankle or leg with no one around to come to your aid. So kind of all your helpers especially Paul.
Before you go to Switzerland will you show us the forest area after the clearing lorries came – hopefully they did!!
    Take carexx
