Buying abandoned land in Portugal? You will need to do this😁 and a tiny house tour😉

Today after many requests we have decided to give you a tour of our tiny home. Our 42 acre land because abandoned for over 40 years is a tough job to clear and regenerate but slowly we are seeing progress and uncovering a crazy amount of hidden gems from canals to terraces, to old ovens, ponds, huge boulders and much more.

  1. Hi luke and Sarah, great work on your farm. You could make pits and burn the twigs, to make biochar, instead of just burning to ash. No need of a drum. In the same pit grow a sapling, after the biochar is soaked in urine, compost etc
As for goats, yes they are entertaining, but very destructive, if you plan on growing trees, not going to happen with them around.

  2. I suggest a garden fork that you can use leverage with the tines under the root ball to lift it. It will make it much easier to loosen the roots of the broom and rock rose bushes to remove them. Just cutting off the broom without removing the roots does not get rid of it. The garden fork is not expensive and will make the work much easier for you. The hedge trimmer is great for brambles. There are some that attach to a telescoping pole that are even better to reach growth that is really high up.

  3. Great video❣ Belated thanks to the Wheallons for coming to help you. Where you've worked looks so good. Appreciated your review of protective gear and how you acquired and been protected while working. So clever to do your laser work after sunset.

  4. Hi guys, a lot of stuff happening this week 👍 I was nice to see Nick's magic hands at work 💪💪💪 soon Luke, soon…. You finally can work with the digger 😉 curious what you planning to do with it actually 🤔 Sarah… The goats are not useless… They are fun to watch and give you a lot of love 😍 the gypsy Caravan is amazing and huge! But I thought that you guys were sleeping in the yurt… I have to take a look to your video about how to get authorization for making fires again… So we also can get rid of brambles and such. See you soon guys. Big hugs

  5. I guess nothing is easy. I used a hedge cutter, which worked ok, but you have to chop and chop and chop, so still hard work. And I ruined and broke the hedge cutter because one is also using it to pull and push etc. 😬 The handle broke and the wires shorted in the end…….. 🤣🤣

  6. Hi Sarah😊
Beautiful work done in the caravan! The woodwork, kitchen and the amazing pressured hot water shower.

When did Luke finish the wonderful renovation?

What a surprise, it’s much bigger than it looks from the outside. 💫

Thanks for showing your cozy living home.🏡

    Have a glorious day. ☀️

    🌷Sam

  7. Loved the video, again. I look forward to them bc they make me smile and laugh!!(except when someone/ animals are sick) So happy to see the Caravan! I didn't realize you had a room one the back! Loved everything. Woodburning stove, kitchen, bethroom!! (LOVED the Shower) I want one like that! Sometimes I use double hearing protection on/in my ears. ( Ear plugs and Ear Muffs(whatever). My hearing has significantly diminished in the last 5 yrs but started before that. I taught small Arms Training and we always wore double hearing protection. Yap yap yap. Ok. LOL Stay Safe!🙏❤🇺🇸👣🇵🇹 (I don't know the Malta flag by little icons on here)

  8. I would fence in a hectare, build a portable "shed" and put the goats in to clean the land. After that is cleared, expand the amount of land and let the goats do their thing. Maybe even consider getting more goats. I love goats❣

  9. I love it, the Gypsy caravan is perfect for low cost Off grid living, for 2, a home is the people in it, looks very cosy you have put all your own finishing touches which makes it very authentic. 💜🙋‍♀️

  10. Beautiful video! And nice to see you went from working hard to working smart… 😉 And hey Sarah love your new safety gear fashion line… just call Yves saint Laurent and they ‘ll include it into their catalog 😊. And so nice to see Nick is working on the digger engine… the man with the golden hands! And hey Luke got two jobs now a day and night job jou must be rolling in the money now… 😉 And so nice you are making that much progress on clearing the land….I’ll better start working on my condition to make sure I’m ready to survey the cleared land next year… 😊 and Sarah love the video edit and music on the end scene burning the wood lovely atmosphere …… David Lynch move over.. 😉

  11. You both work so hard, you need 50 volunteers for couple weeks, then 17 hectares could be tackled. Luke and Sarah would be delighted to cook for 50. Put the offer out there. I love your zezt for life 💚

  12. Really enjoyed your video. Poor Meatball, he is not useless but a whole lot of love. As an ex teacher, the hand scythe in Portuguese is a "FOICE", not a FOIÇA. The latter is (amongst another verb tense) the conjugation in the 2ª person. sing. imp. of the verb "foiçar" which means "to scynthe", and not commonly used nowdays. Keep up the great work for look at how much you have accomplished in 5 years!! 😱😍Amazing.. ❤️🇵🇹❤️
