Actually fleeing china is very easy. You buy gold, silver and diamonds at markets with Yen, then pay local fishermen/ farmers/ border guard in rural areas to take you across to neighbouring countries. From there you get tickets to other places or convert your fixed assets back to the host country's currency. Many rich chinese have "workers" that come along to "carry all the fixed assets". A few chinese billionaires have literally gotten a few billion out this way (imagine how many helpers fled with there master just to bring that much fixed assets that would add up to a few billion)
From my research, Institutional investors (banks and hedge funds with a lot of money) use cryptomarket as a variant to diversify their assets. The investment in coins is considered as a more secure investment in the period of volatility of bond markets and gold.
