Carvalho Beach, or Praia do Carvalho, is definitely one of VFC’s all time favorites. It’s not a big beach, nor does it have the fantastic arches of other nearby beaches such as Praia da Marinha beach, Albandeira beach or Praia de Coelha beach, but if you’re looking for great beach vibes, summer fun and the best cliff jumping in the Algarve, this beach is perfect.
Unfortunately, this was VFC’s last day of a quick Algarve holiday – a plenty good reason to head to one of Portugal’s best beaches. Off we drive towards Carvoeiro, where Carvalho beach lies just outside of Lagoa, not too far from Lagos. Approaching the beach from above, it’s such a spectacular sight, with the high cliffs soaring around the beach area, looking down at the beautifully clear blue water.
The tide is in today, meaning there will plenty of Cliffjumping going on. Carvalho offers a couple of fine cliff jumping spots, a modest cliff jump for the beginners and then a soaring one for the brave.
The sun is shining, the water is crisp and refreshing – and the cliffjumping is money. After a really hard and tough work day at one of the Algarve’s best beaches, we head to Armacao de Pera for some dinner on the waterfront.

Today we're having 35 C for the second day which is hot for Sweden. I was on a mini cruise to one of the island yesterday and there will probably come out film of the trip.
