Albandeira Beach – certainly one of the hidden beach gems of the Algarve. Often overshadowed by the nearby Benagil and Marinha beaches, Albandeira beach is just as spectacular in its own right.
The beach is separated by a cave-tunnel, which you walk through to reveal a stunning arch carved into the cliffside by thousands of years of erosion. There are plenty of private beaches to explore, and this little cove is a perfect representation of everything the Algarve has to offer.
The tide was in and the water was just a bit chilly, but there was plenty of good life to enjoy. Great swimming atmosphere, a swim through the awesome arch and another swim out to even more hidden beaches. Located just near Lagoa Portugal, it’s always a delightful experience here at Albandeira.
And of course we enjoyed it at one of Portugal’s best beaches.
Albandeira is on the strip of fine beaches in Lagoa, not too far Carvoeiro- voted as one of Europe’s top vacation and retirement destinations.
