A lot of people often say not to bother with Casablanca when visiting Morocco and instead head straight to the touristic cities of Marrakesh and Fez. They are wrong! If you’re after an authentic experience in Morocco I absolutely recommend visiting this city! In this video I show you the places to visit in Casablanca; it ended up being my favourite city in Morocco! It’s not overrun with tourists, it’s 100% authentic and it’s a city with a very interesting history, where Europe meets Africa and the resulting culture and architecture is incredibly unique!

(17:56) Tell them: "Call upon those whom you fancy to be (your helpers) instead of Him! They have no power to remove any affliction from you, nor can they shift it (to any other)."64 (17:57) Those whom they call upon are themselves seeking the means of access to their Lord, each trying to be nearer to Him. They crave for His Mercy and dread His chastisement.65 Surely your Lord's punishment is to be feared.

First, thank you for your interest in visiting our country.
Second: "contrat" or difference in level of living exists everywhere and in every society, Morocco thus, is not an exception, the question, however, is why this contrast exists at this sometimes high level, or in somewhere more then other places?
I can only guess, that this contrast, or the cause of it, is due to an extremely high level of analphabitism! The level of education is very very low and poverty is one of the consequences, unfortunately!
The government is completely aware of this defect and it is trying actively and determined to get rid of this ugly factor!
Also, in addition, our society is very traditional and these sometimes prehistoric traditions are serious in hindering every attempt in transitioning to modern life style, more productif more parallel to the 21st civilisation!
Yes, there is a bit of progress and there are aspects of modern life but w still have old cities and old generation etc…
This was a brief summary of why contrast still exist in our beloved country Morocco.
