Caxias beach (Praia de Caxias) is more sheltered from the winds that normally lash other beaches on this coast with greater severity.
It does not have restaurants around its perimeter, but it does have a café and restaurant in the renovated area next to the São Bruno fort, just crossing the small bridge over the Avenida Marginal to access them.
The transport to Praia de Caxias is the train, whose station is on the other side of Avanida Marginal.
The beach has daily mechanical and manual cleaning; there are toilets and shower.
