Hi guys, I am Alex.
I am an Ukrainian expat who moved to Portugal.
No one in my family ever did any farming, But I discovered that I am very passionate about farming so recently I’ve purchased this 28 hectares Farm in Central Portugal, with the intention to start a small scale farm raising worms, cows and sheep.
In this little farm I am also planning to build an off grid home, and be as self sufficient as possible, by growing my own food.
I created this channel to share my journey with the world, The journey of a first generation farmer, that is starting with no prior knowledge and experiences.
That maybe all the mistakes that I will make along this journey, and all the fails maybe will help some of you to learn from my mistake and not make them yourself.
I want to bring value and inspire people who are thinking about farming.
I am not a filmmaker or an editor, I am just a simple guy with a camera.
In this video, My father and I will use our little tractor to help us clear the main driveway that we use to get into the property, That has been overgrown due to being abandoned for more than 70 years.
So to prevent any people getting scratches on their cars, we decided to clear it.

Hi Alex, there's no "organic" weed killer… Please read the description… – if you get more serious information about these products you won't have your children have contact with these products and risks…

Hi Your videos are very good, but at time at times you move the camera too much, Your videos would be a lot better, If you could stabilise the camera.
You need to add a weight to the front of your tractor so it doesn’t tip up and what we in Australia call a roll bar should it tip over.
And thats how people end up crushed by tractors and organic weed killer is not going to killoff the brambes aka thornbushes its going to come up again all that did was burn the top growth the roots are going to pop up again im still in a fight with those basters god bless Ukrainia

Hi Alex, enjoyed your video. Brambles are a pet hate of mine too. They have so many thorns even after they are dead and your clearing up. I would cut them back again, and if they bud/ leaf, spray again as you want to kill the root,and believe me the roots are very deep. I have grown the thornless blackberry, large fruits, not as vigorous in growth,with good pruning can be controlled and trained.
If only Big Sally could change into a bramble wacker, then you'd have no problems at all.A couple of big stones in the bucket of your tractor will stop the flip up's as your pulling out trees/ vines etc. Irrigation I would put in first for your fruit trees, but that is the last job as you will have vehicles in and out of your property. Your so lucky to have your dad near, skills are learned from the master. My dad taught me a lot over the years. Wishing you and your family a good weekend, stay safe, thankyou for sharing.

Really admire what you are creating just wish I was 30 years younger, not sure what you are filming with but at times the wind noise is drowning out your voice , might be worth looking into a muffler of some kind,good idea about the shorter videos

I also hate Brambles (we call it Blackberries here in Australia) on two blocks of land where we built houses, we had to clear them off first. And yes we had yellow broom as well. I feel your pain. My husband used a machete on the blackberry, I think he sawed off the broom and poisoned the stumps. Broom keeps coming every year so we were out pulling the new ones before they got huge again
