Like I stated in the video: Mike “hurt” himself the first day which landed us at the medical center. He was advised to not go underwater anymore during the trip which did hinder us in activities (diving & snorkelling which is basically what you go to the Maldives for). We enjoyed our trip nonetheless but we did decide that we might go back in the future during manta ray and whale shark season to snorkel/dive (it is on a small list of places where you can see them freely).

Sorry that I could not include more yall. I really enjoyed my time without my phone in hand!

We stayed at The Royal Island Resort on the Baa Atoll and our beach villa number was 219. It was an awesome location on the island. We walked around the whole island multiple times and we actually preferred being further away from the “main” area. We had to walk about 1km to breakfast/lunch/dinner every day which totalled about 5-6km a day to walk for food. A lot of the resorts in the Maldives are like this so if you are not that “active” or not able to walk it might be a little difficult for you.

Everyone that worked at the resort was amazing, kind, helpful, and made the experience even better. We had a hard time trying to figure out what was an acceptable tip amount but we tried to tip people as best as we could.

We paid 1600€ per person for everything but right now the Maldives is slowly moving towards “wet season” which means you can find AMAZING deals for a trip if you don’t mind rain/storms. I found a trip for the middle of May for 1000€ per person for 8/9 days with flights from Munich & Berlin.

Our flight was: Etihad from Munich to Abu Dhabi to Male (15/16 hours in total I believe)

We had no rain during our stay (except one night at around 12am)!

  1. Hi Hayley, nice to see your video log. Just wanted to ask you that how long does it take the traveller declaration to be processed by the immigration. I understand we need to fill it up within 72 hours of flight time, so for departure it should be done from the resort, right?

  2. Hi Haley. We will be in this resort for a week in May. It will be great if u can share some useful tips or Do's and don'ts as per your experience. This will be helpful for our trip. thanks in advance ☺️

  3. You are a delicious human being Hayley. Yes I am talking about humor! Yes this video was all over the place but that's the signature Hayley video. That's why we love you! I am slowly getting used to GI Hayley hairdo and you rock it! You are attractive and mr. Mike can squeeze his hands with such a gem on his side. 🙂

  4. Looks great 🙂

Unless that banana is very soft it's still fine. I have plenty of bananas that are very black outside but still completely white inside.

  5. You know, I’m really not a beach, island, hot sun, sand type of girl BUT watching everything you filmed, especially the animals, totally relaxed me. Nobody can say, despite their seasonal preferences, that the Maldives aren’t breathtaking.
