CRF300L review – My new favorite small bike!

I’m glad I finally spent some time with the CRF300L. Its way more reliable and on-road capable than an enduro bike, and way lighter, cheaper and stress-free than an adventure motorcycle. You should definitely try one one of these days 😀

I’ve always wanted an affordable and modern bike (preferably a dual-sport) to recommend my friends and students and I think I finally found one!

In this CRF300L review I explain how it improved over the CRF250L, how it feels when riding offroad and why I think this is THE bike if you are a begginer or a casual offroad rider that needs something simple, cheap, reliable and easy to ride.

  1. Great honest fun video, as per usual. I changed my Africa Twin for a CRF300L this year and am really happy with that. It really is a fun and capable bike, if you don't feel the need for racing performance

  2. Have had several WR250Rs and WR450F bikes.

Got a CRF300L Rally after a few years off the saddle.

Couldn't be happier. Test rode the CRF450RL but liked the way the Rally rode on highway speeds and had less maintenance.

Every bike is a compromise, but it does everything just well enough to keep me smiling.

  3. Considering the housing, job, and inflation situations here in Canada and the US, I use these reviews to make a mental list of bikes I might want to own 10 years from now when I have a garage and can afford it. This one just made the top of the list!

  4. On Wendnesday this will be my new bike! I bought a 2008 Yamaha Tenere and I sold it after 15 days. 210kg is so much weight for my first bike! I tried a CRF 250L and I loved it, so this 300L will be AMAZING! Thanks you for the review, it is the best on Youtube!

  5. I'm particularly interested in the voge 300 rally of the other small dual sport bikes. Except for the limited suspension, it appears to be a valid cheap option.

  6. 5:30 awesome, it looks great and practical. I bought my 250L last year( after watching your review) , and 25000 kms later in 1 year….
I just love the bike, took it to explore, climb difficult hills and mountains pass off road , commute, rally, and a race with all the adventure bikes where i kept very well in front, completly stock but with good tyres.
.the honda CRFL formula is great , having fun on a bike which is capable, reliable and fun to ride on or off road ( i was amazed how far and where i was going off road) .
the 300 seems to have answer the little improvements needed . Perfect bike for the guys who don t need all that power, those settings and scary gearing.
For the pleasure of riding , just because it does it in such a way , the honda became my daily driver .

  7. The unforgivable missing feature on a LCD dashboard without needing any extra sensor or wiring, is a voltmeter. Shame on you Honda. I`ll take a voltmeter over coolant temperature and especially pointless gear indicator.

  8. Das melhores reviews feitas sobre este modelo. Penso que a Honda devia oferecer opções sobre suspensões ajustáveis. De resto, este canal se estivesse noutro país já teria mais de 100k de subscrições. Tem qualidade acima da média.

  9. Great funny review. Especially liked the super cringy ad, and how you acknowledge big adv are "stress inducing". After all, many riders seek the fun factor.
I'm sold, or would've been, was the crf available in my country at a reasonable price (not available, and if it is in the future, won't be at reasonable $$)
Looking forward to voge ds300 review, which, unlike the crf, is available here. Happy rides, man.

  10. Thanks for the video. I love the entertaining factor on your channel. Is the clutch also as light as in 250l? I'd like to do a test ride of the 300, but it's not available nearby and the nearest dealer wouldn't even pick up the phone. My next bike is gonna be either 300 Rally or Husky 701. I wish there was something in between, that has EFI and 6 gears, but I have enough of waiting.

  11. Great review, as always. BUT, £1500 more than I paid for my 250L new. A lot more cash for a small gain in power. I think the Ktm 390 adventure is a better all round bike for just a bit more cash than the 300L, with it’s pogo stick suspension.

  12. Технические характеристики конечно интересны, но мне больше всего понравился цвет:)))

  13. Another great review, I'm looking forward to testing the 300L myself.

By the way, I don't think it's possible to change the rear spring on the stock shock. At least the guys at MAD TV couldn't, so if you want a stiffer spring you have to change the whole shock out (which by the looks of it should be done by everyone).
