I’m pushing on with my DIY kitchen cabinets and feature wall in my off grid tiny house at what feels like a horrendously slow pace, but I suppose with this heat I’m only working short days… so there’s my excuse! I’m try to get all the pieces prepared and come up with ideas for my corner cabinets. I think I’ve finally got a plan and I’m working towards that by making each of the pieces of the cabinet puzzle. I’m also making some progress on the feature wall with the shelves, but it’s also slow going.
It still looks like a cave in there but I have a plan, I promise!
As always, thanks for watching and please do share the video around, like, comment, and subscribe if you like what you’re seeing. Thanks!
For anyone who’s interested, here’s a link to the Makita saw I was talking about in the video: I’m not pushing Makita tools or anything, they’re just what I happen to have. But I do quite like them, and some people suggested that giving little tool reviews here and there might be helpful… so forgive me if it sounds like a sales pitch. I just blab on about the tools I use from time to time and I’m sure there will be some I don’t like, too (I’m looking at you, jigsaw!)

Do you know anyone who lives in off-grid how bought one land in Portugal and who isn't a digital nomad? Is it possible to have a self sufficiency sustainable life?
I love the project life and want to change my life a better life.
We love your 'sanding montages' 😁 Very ASMR relaxing to watch – and invigorating to see the quality outcome.
You make me smile … X

I like your attention to detail.

If I were a neighbour, I’d help sharpen your chisels, as a gardener, sharpening secateurs is a weekly job. You have inspired me to build my kitchen myself. You’re great, thank you for sharing 🙏😎
Wonderful job
You are so clever
Thank you for sharing 😁
I commented on this before and you replied that you needed to have more content before giving viewers the option to thank you with a small monetary gift. I think you’re there…..and I’m desperate to at least donate the cost of a new pair of work gloves 🙂

Beautiful puzzle you have going! Your attention to detail and careful thought process is quite admirable!
Nicely done
Kirsty you are so cool.
You have such skills. Love watching it come together. X
Happy to see you up and smiling.
I have that same book, it's very inspirational and you can get some ideas that you can modify for your own place 😀 I think it is healthy for people to see that stuff isn't just "instantly done in 5 minutes" it takes time and spending more time on each step also shows more details instead of just skipping over it. So keep doing what you are doing 😀
Beautiful wood, Kirsty, the shape of the feature shelves are gorgeous! I’ve not seen a hand saw like yours before, what are they called? It looks easier to hold rather than the average ones at the diy stores in the Uk!
Be safe in the heat, Laura 🍻🍻🍻
Loving the safety jandles Kirsty! 🩴🩴
Great job.

This week I have been working at digging out a bank and next I'll be digging post holes to hold up a deck. It's really heavy clay so I am not making a great deal of progress. I had to clean the toilet as punishment for not getting done I the allotted time. I'm so bad! LOL. This next week will be better and cooler and I'll get more done…. and….. I got that book for Christmas this last year!
Actually it’s only been a week. Stay cool and safe!
Choice masterful skills
I'm impressed
I noticed you have your propane tank inside your house that is very dangerous, it could leak and kill you or make your whole house explode , see if you can put it outside and make a hole in the wall for the tank , please
Hello who sharpens your chisels. If you do the job yourself I need your address ?
Mmmmm white glue , that takes me back , we seemed to eat a lot of it in elementary school , that probably explains a lot! 😆
Take care of yourself in that heat.
Good job !!
Some one who works like I do. Love it. Just love watching your video's.
