DIY WINDOW FRAMING (..adding the last part of the puzzle) – Portuguese House Renovation

We are in the middle of renovating our house in an abandoned Portuguese village. In this episode i check what we got from the framing on the left side of the window. This also looks great! I am making framing for the top part of the window frame. I scavenge some more rocks for in the concrete and then start porring of the concrete. I fixed the wood also with some screws this time around! It is looking fine.. In the next episode you will see me taking the framing of to see the final result.

My name is Jasper and i bought a house in a Portuguese ghost town. Together with my dogs Zoey& Akira we show you the rebuild of our house en what it is like living the daily life in Central Portugal.

  1. Hi Jasper, you list what you use on the camera side of things, but I don't see what drone you use I also want to make my neighbour's dogs to bark all day when I fly the drone, can you point it out to us, 😉
    😉😉😉

  2. Video with drone is great. The windowframe looks good, it‘s a lot of work the hole day😱every day interesting to watch. Lives Akira forever at your home. Thanks for showing👍

  3. Well done on the second concrete pouring. You did it even better than when you had the help of Alex. He taught you well and you were a good student. The drone is niice, we get a better view of your messy work site. Have a nice week ahead Jasper and pups

  4. My goodness jasper you are really getting stuck in ! I think all you needed all this time was some instruction. Alex has given you a priceless gift Andi hope both of you can continue to trade with each other ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

  5. Really enjoyed this One Man Salvation Show, Jasper! (Akira is with you every step of the way.) I wonder what kind of a window you're planning to install. Will there be two "doors" opening outward, so that one could sit in the wide window sill, looking out at your orchard? Yes, we learned a lot. Great job! Thanks for sharing. Love your attitude.

  6. THAT'S IT, JASPER, YOU'RE GETTIN' THERE…JUST PUT YOUR HAND TO THE PLOW…MAKE DILIGENCE YOUR GOAL & BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, IT WILL ALL BE DONE…I FEEL THE SAME WAY…IF I COULD COME & BE OF ASSISTANCE, I WOULD DO SO…KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK…I MIGHT ADDRESS THE TIMELAPSE MUSICAL INTERLUDES, THOUGH…YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE PALATABLE TO THE EARS…OUCH…I ALWAYS TURN THE SOUND DOWN WHEN THE MUSIC BEGINS…;)

  7. Secret project…mysterious…let´s see what that will be. You´re progress is good, it takes time to do good work. Next window will be easier…hope you´re feeling better meanwhile. Don´t like the sound of the drone, annoying indeed…your dogs don´t like it, too…but great pictures made from it..:-)).

  8. Safety glasses? 🌀💚🌀 Impressive progress… if I was anywhere close enough to come and help I most certainly would… Thank You for the videos!

  9. the drone looks like some DJI drone. for those there are propellers available that are much quieter, maybe that would help with the girls….although i think its more that there is something moving they dont know very well

  10. Hi Jasper
Watching your videos brings back memories when my ex-husband and I renovated our house, you are doing the right things learning what you don’t know and taking your time it will pay off trust me. X

  11. Hazel ☘️ …
You certainly are learning Jasper … well done ! 👏

Very admirable using stuff you have laying around 👍

… however since you have quite a few openings to do perhaps buying some plywood would pay off in the long run … in terms of time … further maybe you could configure it to do two sides of the opening at once wedged with planks, wedged from one square of ply to the other , maybe allowing one side to set a bit before doing the other ?

I’m certainly not ‘Bob the Builder’ … so this suggestion rather than a ‘How To’
    🙏☘️😘

  12. Jasper, you should cast all of your lintels in one go on the floor. The lintels do not need to be cast in place, it must make it much more difficult for you. Prepare all of the openings, measure them and the make all of the shuttering boxes in one go. Much more efficient. Good luck!

  13. Hi Jasper, you have learned a great skill from Alex. He will be pleased with his student. Love the drone views, 👌. Looking forward to the secret project.
Have a good week, you'll finish off your gate bench and roof. With covid slacking hopefully you'll have a bit more help. Take care, stay safe.
