E.16: Portugal's most famous pastry and #Cigars

Omar travels to beautiful #Belem #Portugal. While exploring this amazing historical city he discovered 3 national items that he HAD to pair with a Fratello. In this episode, he will pair the Fratello Firecraker with Pastéis de nata, Ginjinha and Eduardinho….

Fratello Firecraker
This cigar was created what has been referred to as a “ramped up version” of the original Fratello blend, which uses a Nicaraguan habano wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Peru. Length: 3 1/2 Inches | Ring Gauge: 50 | Vitola: Petit Robusto

Ginjinha
Is a Portuguese liqueur made by infusing ginja berries in alcohol and adding sugar together with other ingredients. Ginjinha is served in a shot form with a piece of the fruit in the bottom of the cup. It is a favourite liqueur of many Portuguese.

Eduardinho
Was a famous Italian clown from a circus that once had a show at the Coliseu (Lisbon Coliseum). Legend has it, that every time he was in town, he went to this same liquor shop but instead of asking for a normal drink, he would choose several kinds of liqueur, mixing everything in a crazy cocktail.

Pastéis de Nata
First cooked up by monks in the early 19th century, these sweet and creamy custard tarts are a beloved national favorite, and you’d be hard pressed to find a bad ‘nata’ anywhere in Lisbon.
