In this episode, we’re exploring a massive abandoned hospital in Madrid. Founded in the 1960s, it was a university-run hospital where some of Spain’s most important research on organ transplants took place. By the 2000’s the facility was becoming too outdated, and an entirely new hospital was built to replace it. Once all the operations had been transferred, the old building was abandoned, left to sit silently in decay.

It was so excellent to see that awesome circular operating theater was not vandalized and smashed.
10:18 omggg
Another top notch video. I have such respect for how you are exploring and documenting these amazing facilities. Your camera work and production into the videos you share with us are the best! I agree the operating room theater was the best! Having worked in a few hospital in the life from old (built in the 1940') to buildings a few years old, I find this one very interesting. I was blown away at that they have left all that stainless steel and electronics and radiology equipment collecting dust. Be safe and keep up the great work.
At 4:28 that might be the EP lab used to fix electrical problems in the heart. they use CT scans to see where they are working at all times.
I was waiting for a guard to come out of nowhere and yell "Stop right there criminal scum"
That machine you saw in the radiology area is called a C-arm it’s consists of a x-ray tube on one end in the image intensifier end
Camels have a distinct taste scientist loves EM preferable
At 35:58, I saw Gomco Surgical Manufacturing, Buffalo, NY on some vacuum bottles. I got excited to see my home town listed, so I looked up Gomco. They went out of business in 1978, meaning those bottles were around 50 (or more!) years old.
I was thinking: no chairs anywhere 'just chilling'? Then right after that comes the part at 21:55, of course 😉
One of the best explores in a while!

I found myself locked in the morgue of a large Australian hospital once.
For some reason the elevator took me down to a restricted level and I couldn't get back out, and the only people around were of no help…If you catch my drift. 😂
This place in incredible, you guys do some amazing places! Hopefully one day I can get to some bigger ones!
