Link to Retirement Travelers Q & A session video on the “Our Italian Destiny” YouTube channel.

We love making new friends on our world travels and this week find out about living abroad in Umbria, Italy. We meet up with some YouTube friends and you can find out more in this expat life in Italy vlog. The Umbria region of Italy is adjacent to Tuscany and incredibly beautiful. Could we live here someday?

We travel by train from Florence to the “Green Heart of Italy” and visit with our friends for 3 glorious days of eating, more eating, visiting and seeing some countryside as well. It is a simple life in Umbria with less crowds and lower prices than Tuscany, but still having great food and beautiful landscapes.

If you are considering moving to Italy or retiring abroad, the country life of Umbria may be just the place for you. We are always searching for the best place to retire in the world and now Umbria has made our list. It is no wonder our friends have become Italy expats and we hope you enjoy this week’s Italy travel vlog.

We hope you are enjoying our 9-month European adventure and also go back and check out our adventures in Central America and seeing all 50 states during our Airstream journey across America.

Please join us for a 10-year journey and world travel vlog. We wanted to retire early and see the world and film our adventures. Perhaps our world travel will give some ideas on what to do after retirement and where to travel in 2022. We have no home just travel and want to show you different perspectives as we show you where to visit in 2022 and give you our experiences as we travel the world. ABOUT US:

As the retirement travelers, we have always dreamed of traveling, but we never in a million years thought we would become travel vloggers and start a YouTube channel. But, that is what we did! We work hard every day to become better and create something that others will enjoy. Having a community of friends, old and new, follow our journey is fun and exciting to us.

In 2019, we achieved our goal of visiting every state in the union in our Airstream. We also visited every national park in the lower 48. We are big believers in lists, so of course we plan to see the remaining 12 parks in the next few years.

In 2021, we made the big decision to extreme downsize to just a large and small backpack, each. We started our journey around the world beginning in Central America. We hope that over the next ten years, we will have seen many beautiful things, made many memories and new friends, and shared the experience with our children and grandchildren.

We hope you enjoy the journey with us. Drop us a note in the comments and be sure to hit subscribe! 🗺 🎥 🌮

  1. Great video! We follow both couples channels. We can’t wait to start our world tour next year. We had originally planned on retiring in three years and buying a place in Italy. Now we plan to retire next year and travel until we find our spot. So for now we are taking in all the information we can!

  2. I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $960,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.

  3. John and Bev, it's time for us to catch up! We miss you guys! This was an awesome video. We're blown away by your filming, music, and fun energy. We too are SHOCKED that a beautiful condo like that is only $115,000! What an incredible city with great friends. <3

  5. I am 45 years old with very little set aside for retirement at this point. I have always been curious about the stock market and have witnessed some people who played the game right and retired early because they used the stock market. When I ask them, most said that they invested very little to start with, but their portfolio grew. I do have a significant amount of capital that is required to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make decent returns

  6. The economic hardship, recession, unemployment and the loss of job caused by covid pandemic is enough to push people into financial ventures. I'm taking a trip into investing because I lost so much during this pandemic. Multi creation of wealth is the best strategy to ensure financial sustainability.

  7. “This is a tree”😝. This is the white mulberry which I grow in northern CA. The leaves are the food for the silkworms the ancient Chinese would raise for clothing and that is true today. The trees come from Asia but thrive in Mediterranean climates like California and Italy. Harvest season is the same time in NorCal and a Italy. If you travel to Sicily please make some videos around the base of Mount Etna. I’m very Interested in seeing the farming communities on the hillsides. There are enterprising farmers who farm avocado there which I do as well in CA. Trees thrive in the volcanic soil.

  8. Loved this video, you guys always cheer me up and loved seeing the wonderful Italian food! When I was there I didn't know how to order so I didn't get to experience that lovely cuisine…next time!
